Fairly simple... Basically the same thing I did for MP Megs: a small amount of surgical spirit on a q-tip and some patient rubbing. After a minute or so the red logo starts to spread and look increasingly messy, but keep going until the printed shape of the logo is no longer there. Then I found that rubbing your finger hard across the area kind of gathers up all the residue and makes it easier to remove in that state than continuing to work over with the q-tip.

I didn't know that. I guess I'll have to be extra careful.

Yeah, definitely see it as glass half full here, too!

Any G1 character for me at this point is ideal!

Yeah, baby! So glad I did, too! Left him blank for about a year and he looked beautiful. Nice and clean and he was without crosses for the last half of s2, but after a few more watch-throughs during that time I decided that the red crosses were the iconic to the character. I even added them to the sides and the roof of the van, too. He just looks more Ratchet-y now! Is yours blank or stickered? If you haven't done it yet and are thinking about it, I highly recommend very sharp scissors over a razor. I started with a razor and it just wanted to pull off the tough top layer of the sticker.

Totally understand, but I'm holding out for a Bluestreak+. I read a little about Hasbro Asia not carrying Dinobot, the MPM line rolling strong, Hasbro exerting "synergy" over TT and with no G1 MPs announced for this year (yet) it's all a bit worrisome. Time will tell. Just trying to enjoy all the cool shit we've gotten in the meantime!

Great attitude! I'm right there with you, Xaxis!

Been waiting on this from you and you never disappoint! More, OTL! MORE!!!

I received my Sunstreaker this week from BBTS. Very nice toy and interesting transformation from car to bot mode.

But this where I am stuck now. I can't manage to slide out the piece out on his upper arm that then needs to fold for the lower arm to fully collapse. Is there any trick to it or is mine just extremely stiff? I certainly don't want to break Sunstreaker.

It's fiddly but it should pull out if you can get a grip on the right bit. Or try prying into the join with a fingernail - it might just be overtight on yours. EDIT or do you mean those pylons on his shoulders? They just rotate.

Fantastic! Did you paint the triangle areas on the doors too?

Badass. Any close up pics of the painted door-vent? Did you just paint it with a small brush?

NY customer service is pretty much "we messed up, you pay!"

they're fine until they screw up your order, overcharge you or something and suddenly it's your fault. and if you complain, they just close your account. One of the only companies in the world I look forward to them going down :)

You don’t need to pay upfront for preorders with HLJ or Amazon JP either.

No, what you meentioned first, was what I meant.
I managed to do one side, which also gave me confidence that I was doing the right thing. The other side was super tight. I finally manged to to push it out with a tool. Hope it gets easier over time without breaking.

Amazon’s discounts usually reach 31%. You get the maximum discount even if it was lower when you placed your preorder.

You can also use discount does on PO's, at least the exclusives you pay up front for. For me they're a goto for Bandai exclusives. I also got my Sunstreaker and Megs from them, and hope to get MP-12+ and a Patlabor fig, and it'll save at least 40 bucks compared to BBTS.

Yes, and the earlier ordered through AJ the better to lock in the lowest possible price. My Sunstreaker came to $78 shipped and the Megatron reissue looks like it'll be $181 shipped. And you're not billed till it's in stock! Love it. I don't see why anyone living in the US would feel like they need to pay more than than what they can get it through AJ.

You have to find a seller over on Amazon Japan?

No. You can, but you don't have to. Best to just order these figures straight from AJ. It works just like Amazon. There's an English option right on the front page. After that, it's just as easy to use as the US Amazon page, but when you place an order choose the option to pay in Yen instead of USD. It can end up saving you several dollars. Lightning fast shipping, too.

Sorry I don't have a close up but it's exactly what it looks like - a bit of black paint inside the vent to match Swipe.
