No, they’re from the same people that did the trasntech concept art for hasbro, so they are officially commissioned but ultimately unused designs

 

Those are some sweet looking designs especially Blackarachnia's.   I wish we can see them show up again in toy form like say a 3rd party company.

 

That would be an awesome little project for a 3p to tackle

 

i'd do shameful things to get that tigatron as a toy... but it'd need his season 1 colors. the blue never worked for me and the face and helmet need to switch decos.

i hate that blackarachnia with a passion, though. it's literally just a human woman with blue skin and some robot spider parts tacked on.

 

Crazy theory for today:

Cybershark was originally designed as a Basic sized figure, but was upped to a Deluxe at some point during the design stage.

His transformation is basically the same as a spring-loaded Basic figure.

 

Those are amazing. The Fuzor Primal's beast mode scares me though. lol

I'd love for a 3P to take on these designs some day.

 

Wrong. They're fanart entered in the contest at Botcon '98. You can even see the entry tags in the group shot.

 

That's what I thought, but couldn't find anything online that described them as such.

They're certainly cool designs, and the characters deserved TM figures.

 

Fortunately at least tigatron did end up with an official transmetal, even though it was a con exclusive

 

Hi all
I recently got into the tf movieverse and one figure I picked up was scorponok but he was to large to scale with everyone I wanted. With the recent images of leader blackout coming out he comes with a smaller scorponok which I can use for my collection. So with the deluxe figure I took out the triton looking thing in his tail and added weirdwolfs tail into the hole, then fully painted him up. I really like it but really wish he had a robot mode, so he’s basically just a scorpion now   I plan on getting the swoop from potp and turning it into terrorsaur, so I have a scorponok, megatron (from skullcruncher) and will have terrorsaur. Anybody have any ideas who I could use for a tarantulas and waspinator??

 

Wow what a stroke of genius! That sword looks like it was made to be there, cool that it can detach still cause Scorpy did that kind of to open up a hole in the alien device. This guy does have something of an alt mode from memory right? Though it'd be a lot of work to get it looking decent. There is a Legends class movieverse Scorponok already out, I haven't seen the new one yet though so you might be better off with the Leader Blackouts minion.

It looks great as is so I doubt you'll wanna touch it again, but I noticed a little triangle area on the face, it makes him look less like a drone I think if that was the eyes.


Waspinator and Tarantulas... Hmmm... Do they have to be at least the same alt modes?

 

Thanks @GALVATOM i kind of wanted to make him represent more of a organic scorpion so that sword/tail was perfect for improving the mould   I have seeing his robot mode but it really really sucks   I wish I had the skill to completely mod the figure. There is a new thread for the leader class blackout. Check it out, the scorponok is a perfect fit scale wise. I never even knew a legends class existed, is there a legends class ravage, I also plan on turning the deluxe rotf ravage into beast wars ravage. Thanks for the advice I will definitely look at that later on and see if I can make him look like the image you posted. I still need to add some eyebrows and little details on him to be completed  

 

Sorry   also about tarantulas and waspinator. I’d like to make them at least resemble their selfs if you know what I mean, the beast modes don’t have to be exact but similar

 

There is a Legends class Ravage, that's a very cool idea. Are you gonna turn him full biped? lol.

I had seen Blackout, totally overlooked Scorponok when I checked out those first pics... he looks like a great fit, no robot mode though?

 

This might seem out there but I think the DOTM Deluxe Starscream could pull off a decent Waspinator, it's no beast mode of course but Waspinator and Screamer kind of have a connection that resonates with me because of possession, plus movie Starscream looks kind of insect-oid. There's also the scout class Insecticon from HFTD, he's already green and has blue wings to boot. Tarantulas is tricky, maybe RiD Warrior Scorponok? Lose the tail and the claws, he's an arachnid, is hunched over, has skinny legs and a helmet head and claw hands, he'd be bigger than scorp and waspinator if they where legends and your Swoop/Terrorsaur would look beefier than him then you could give his claws to your other Scorponok.

 

Oh nice I’ll be adding that little guy to my movie collection so   I’m going to try, I have a ravage on hold for me so when I pick him up I plan on starting immediately, I might lose the tail and make a smaller slimmer tail. Also Try and figure out a way to incorporate a better head for him. I have predacon emblems in my basket on that reprolabel website so I just have to get around to ordering them as well.

 

Nice idea about the connection between screamer and waspinator I completely over looked that concept   I will look into that for sure. The rid scorponok might work if I can figure out a way to fix the beast mode appearance. I can see what your going for and am loving the idea. I will see if I can add claws to scorponok when I get a spear rid version   for now here is a look of rid scorponok without his tail and claws
