Finally shipped my SoC set from BBTS. I really pushed the envelope on waiting to ship it when LG54 Bumblebee came in stock. Figure they weren't pressing the issue of it being overdue to ship since the 90 days ran out during the XMas shopping season.

My Magnus Prime has two left leg panels. Did anyone get one with two right leg panels that could trade parts with me to fix your Magnus Prime and mine?

Got my Grotusque in the mail today. Just checked and TRU.com is still showing this guy available to purchase. Only 24.99 plus tax and shipping. Probably the best deal to get this guy. Better than eBay I’m sure. Limit 1 per customer according to the site.

Looks really great IMO.

 

I think LG Octone has dethroned Blitzwing as my favourite Voyager. Hard to believe that I was so on the fence about this mold with Prime at first, though the Autobot Commander's funky wings may have had a hand in that. This tanker/jet lad reminds me a lot of Unite Warriors Streetwise, which is another figure I adore. Similar grey plastic, and chest plate colour layouts.

Hrm... Astrotrain feels a bit out of place as far as alt-modes go, given how G1-focused TR stuff has been. After watching Thew's Astrotrain video, I kinda do wonder if the ol' space choo-choo was the afterthought after all.

 

The wings are my only real complaint on Prime. I think they don't want Optimus to have wings in robot mode, so they gave him short wings that fold in for robot mode. Otherwise I like the mold a lot, stickers aside.

 

Grotusque works pretty well as an Alpha Trion body.

I figure that these two are maybe the only 2 toys anyone not collecting the TakaraTomy Legends series should have in their collections. They are just such perfectly done pieces.

 

I didn't realize just how different the two Broadside Headmasters were till I got the LG one.



And the rest of my new LG arrivals. Really loving the Cab and Minerva, just wish I knew if they would have bodies coming or if I should just start to custom a couple myself.
