So, I’m not the only one. Has this has happened to others?

Thanks. I moved some things up and out of the way and could get a really tiny and short screwdriver in, but the screw is so tight that I couldn’t turn it with the angle I had to work with. The rear section of the car gets in the way of getting a longer screwdriver in there.

Ouch, sorry to see that. That’s another one that Max posted in the Appreciation thread, so you’re not the first. That’s worrying. Were you trying to force the windscreen under the spoilers or something like that?

No. I was transforming it and got to the windshield and it broke right when I lifted it up. I wasn’t rushing or hard with it either. So upset about this.

Sure wish mine didn't show up with a hood that doesn't fit into place right in car mode.
Maybe one of these days I'll manage to get an exchange started with captured prey.

Honestly? It's because 70s TV producers thought Bruce was a 'gay' name. It sounds crazy (hell, it *is* crazy) but apparently, that was why they renamed him.

Interesting - good thing they didn't feel the name to rename Batman's alter ego

Anybody keeping their little bit of plastic on the arms that it came with when you go back to car, for the chrome?

This is, without a doubt, one of the top 10 transformers figures of all time.. maybe even top 5.

Ok, so I know a couple of you are wanting to remove the Autobot logo on Sunstreaker's chest. How's it going? Anyone effectively take off the logo? Any tips? I'm thinking the Mr Clean Magic Eraser would work, since it works so slow.

I love Sunny but I cannot handle that toon logo on him. He's standing next to the other carbots and it just looks sloppy. Badly applied. And on Sunstreaker for godssake! Yeah, I can just see him coming back from the shop, just got his logo done, and he goes back to base and all the guys are laughing at him. Who did your logo, Sunstreaker? A blind human?! He's the one guy that would never allow that in a million years.

Got Sunstreaker in yesterday and finally had a chance to play around with it today...good god it’s so awesome. It’s a beaten horse, but the engineering on the newer Masterpieces is so fantastic. And the articulation is excellent! I can’t wait to spend more time with it this weekend.

I ran into that same problem. But as long as you can keep pressure on the screwdriver to stay on the screw, and then enough leverage somehow to twist, you should be able to slowly remove the screw. I used an xacto knife to shave the octagonal hole out far enough to where it more or less rounded it out as much as it could, and still has some stiffness in rotating it, but not as stiff as it was before. I rotated it back and forth and didn't notice the stress marks getting any worse, so hopefully....this fixes it.

Is this your first order with AE? I’m asking because I’m wondering if you’ve checked out the ‘Pay shipping’ tab which is to the right of the ‘orders’ tab (and to the left of the ‘shipped’ tab). It’s just above the list with your pre-orders. It’s where all orders automatically go once you hit the ship button on those items.

    So, good news, bad news.

Good news is, you can shave down the pieces to remove the stressor. More good news, if it did fully break, it's glueable and worst case scenario, it'd be a partsformer, but it'll hold together in both modes.

Bad news is, I'm pretty sure everyone's will break with enough time. It's a badly designed joint and there's no reason for it to have any ratchet or friction. It also shouldn't be breaking at any price. I'm rescinding my must have recommendation. If you're willing to take the risk, then by all means do what you have to do, but I'm starting to have the warm and fuzzies for Sunsurge again.

I might contact AJP for a replacement. I shouldn't have to be stuck with this mess.

EDIT: Scratch that. I just checked their automated system, they'll only offer me a refund, not a replacement. =\

Is that windscreen cracked or is it just a big white stress mark?

I managed to get a stress mark on my windscreen after the first transform. Probably from trying to push the backpack against it with too much force.

I'm planning on getting rid of it with a hairdryer or flame. Windscreen pops off really easily. Never done that before so I'm a little nervous. Might try and find some junk plastic to stress and fix first.

Really? A fake chest? On a Masterpiece?
I am glad I stopped collecting this line years ago.
