They would have to admit it first, and we all know that will never happen. If anything, they would say quality and fan happiness are on the increase using a bunch of BS spin.

In Australia, those prices would be an awesome discount...

Yes, it is more expensive in Australia but Australia has the best minimum wage of the entire world.

It is not just the price of products and services, but the difference between incomes and expenses.

I think potp has better quality than titans return and combiner wars. All the joints have been good, no fukt up paint aps or stickers.

Count yourself lucky, I have had to do more tweaks and repairs to this wave of figures than the entirety of CW.

I think people have different "self standards". I've seen a lot of people expect their figures to hold a pose like a statue when you pick it up. Would that be nice? Yeah. Does it always go that way? No. So long as they stand sentinel on a shelf I'm not picky. Why are you people so picky. Have fun.

This thread may be dead, but there are significant quality control issues with the Transformers Prime 10th anniversary War Breakdown and Vehicon pack, mainly with Breakdown. These problems are a weird case, because they show the difference of 8 years between the figures' initial releases and today's releases. Otherwise they're identical, but Breakdown has significant issues and I've heard people saying that the Air Vehicon's windshield is fragile. I haven't had too many problems with my set, but Breakdown's joints were loose and the grill of the truck was bent straight from the factory. The best part about that, I could manually straighten it out after taking a hairdryer to it. It's nowhere near as good as the original release. People touted that as a quality, robust figure. But with these rereleases, if you look on the Hasbro Pulse website for their listing, most of the reviews are just for bad balljoints and such.

Honestly, it's good this thread is revived. Earthrise has been a QC trainwreck. Loose joints, breaking figures, bubbled and chipped paint have all ruined some figures for me. And Kingdom is already off to a rough start with Cheetor's incredibly thin tabs.

I just find that Hasbro does a lot of back and forth with their quality depending more on the individual figures than lines as a whole, with some exceptions of course.

I read the first page of this thread and it was the same drivel about "it sucks" and "I expect that people are just going to whine", which really killed off the path to a civilized discussion about observation in a mature way. But if this thread restarts, I'll hope that this could be achieved.

First, I'm one of "those" that will flat out state that I am disappointed with Hasbro for so many figures being great but yet "missing that one thing that could have made it amazing", mostly the gaps and the lack of accessories. I don't say it as a "hate" or rag on Hasbro thing, it's just a fact.

That stated and out of the way, the quality of plastic is a strange issues as it is inconsistent from one line to another. I know that many don't appear to feel the difference as others do, but it's something that you can feel by touch... you can feel the difference that's more than just about the thickness... it's more what I'd describe a "dryness", less flexibility, the hardness, that denotes that there is a difference, sometimes subtle, between figures.

Looking at the last few lines, we've had the hard, less flexible plastic in the Prime wars for most of the line, with some figures like the legend sized ones being better plastic.

I got to the point that I've gotten figures from different lines and would be surprised when I would get one that was "good plastic". TLK plane Megatron voyager was such a figure, that stays in mind as my default example when there's a mention of the back and forth with the plastic quality.

The jump in prices as Siege arrive was a huge detriment and I was going to just give it up, BUT they did have that ace in their pocket, they had returned to decent plastic. And overall, the quality across Siege was fairly high as aside a few figures getting a bit loose after some play (the datsuns knees being the worst one) I've learned to floor polish or clear coat the heck out of the articulation of figures. The weaponizers should have had a better system than simple 5mm holes and pegs, and all of mine were loose out of the box.

Earthrise has been a mixed bag, with some that are great figures, but that was the first thing I noticed, the plastic was different and had a tad cheaper feel to it... which fluctuated from one figure to another. But the quality issues are much more common, the figures came "stuck" or very loose, and many reported defects for many figures, myself included.

I do find that the gaps and such do add a LOT to the "cheap" plastic feel of a figure, but in terms of the plastic's actual formulation, I'll repeat that it's something that one feels in hand more than can see for some figures... and the use of painted over transparent plastic does not help the lines either.

What I hate the most about this, is that until you have the figure in hand, it's truly is hard to know what you're getting... and then you end up with figures that you know will not last the test of play and time unless you are very careful with it... which means that if you like a certain figure that is guilty of this, the best thing to do is to grab an extra for later on in case, as odds are, when it does break, it might be hard to find and at crazy prices.
