To me it seems obvious that the Prime masters ( when folded up into little spark chambers or whatever) are COPIES of the primes Sparks... like a file backup stored in some ancient relic computer... the Pretender suits are the transformers who have been chosen or who have sought out and found those copies/ Backups and are the "torchbearers" so to speak of their respective Factions who wish to capitalize on or make use of the qualities of those sparks.

I plan to army build them just like I did Titan masters ... for the practical reason of continuing to populate For Max ( and eventually Tripy) and using them on the base modes/ foot pegs on the TR and POTP figures alt modes as well as the gun seats on the TR figures weapons. But also in order to play into the idea that during the research of Titan masters and their power lending abilities, the Autobots and Decpeticon discovered this " source code" of the primes hidden in these spark back ups and can now copy them and distribute them to their armies.

Picked up POTP Optimus, Star Scream and Grimlok yesterday and had a seriously deep play session late last night after the kids were in bed explaining how Vector Primes tiome abilities for example took Optimus back to a time before Orion Pax was upgraded allowing him to revert or evolve to either form at will... something he did not have the ability to do until he tok on the spark of Vector... Star Scream was tricked by Leige Maximio's spark code into becoming a possessed combiner and vessel for Leige to tray and take over the Deceticons to have his own army in the macro world, Grimlock was lent the Matrix of Leadership by Optimus Prime ( who for a short second act was stuck as Orion and was getting beat down by run of the mill Decepticons like Dreadwind) ...which upgraded Grimlock from my old sdcc chrome version to the G1 accurate ( again Vector prime took him back in time to when we were kids.. 1985) to the POTP version which btw has combining powers ( at one point Griimy went a little power mad and rounded up every prime Master/ enigma I own and put it on the prime armor pieces and was wearing them, Optimus had to reel him in and slow his roll once he figured out how to evolve back up to Optimus) ... My Grimloks card was Quintus Grimlok who "seeds worlds with bots of unbelievable strength"... which is where Slash came from ( again Vector Primes time shenaninags are why she actually showed up about a month ago... before anything from last night actually happened) ...and she nearly was destroyed trying to carry the enigma of combination ( stolen from Star Scream and quickly copied into the Dino bot enigma... so now they BOTH have one) ..and was saved by Beachcomber who BTW I am shamelessly 'shipping with her for .... reasons ... I'm nuts and having fun lemme alone!

    so... yeah
this stuff can be fun its almost like the design team at Hasbro is just giving us ammo to get our imaginations going like the original line with its ( in modern terms pretty simplistic) premises did for us when we were 8, only now we are 38 and need some more to work with.

A bit over the top, no? There's no point to the Prime powers if there's an army and thus everyone can harness them. Not to mention the army building thing deprives kids of the opportunity to play with them. I remember once seeing the CW Aerialbots at Walmart. Didn't have money. Never seen them again and got Alpha Bravo secondhand from a fellow collector.
I'm an author. My imagination has matured and blossomed with age. Enough so to see what I would find to be bullshit concepts. Hasbro's ammo is nothing but blanks, or something that fires back in one's face like an Elmer Fudd cartoon. Seriously, toyed with different concepts inspired by the Prime Masters and none has been fun in the slightest. Even if it were, it sets at least two (one can say Powermasters were tossed aside too) working fun concepts on fire in order to get just one.

It's rather insulting to imply that one lacks imagination. I don't take offense to something simplistic that someone says (it's not like they've purposefully insulted me, my family, lifestyle, etc.) but it is pretty insensitive to go making implications to a group of people with backgrounds you are unaware of.

I'm not. I'm just telling how I was playing ...its likely to change tonight.

The night before last I had a 1983 GI Joe base camp setup using JUST the characters from that year and had a Dr Who Figure take a Modern Grunt in the Tardis back to look at it.

Across the room the boys and I had our Avangers teaming up with some Autobots and some TRU Heroes Fire and Police guys and a pile of 1/18ish cars and trucks making a last stand barricade against Sky Shadow and a couple of those Marvel Masterpeice Sentinels ( awesome HUGE robot figures) who were destroying all of our generic civilian city back ground scenery and I make Buildings out fo cardboard and storage bins.

Dr Who was getting grunt to go influence Gi Joes to help THAT situation out across the room at some date in the future because Vector prime... tada!

This is actually how I play with my kids mixing in my old toys with their new. I think the only thing that annoys my kids is when I pull out my phone to take a pic.

The 6yo is way into Sea Monsters anymore/ At some point the Dinobots threw Sky Shadow out into the Sea to get him out of " Downtown" where all the background figures were getting killed. The Dinobots are Bros like that and Heros.

That turned into all of our boats and divers and undersea stuff being Destroyed by " A kraken" aka some big rubber octopus toy ionno where it even came from but he likes it and according to him it has 1000 health and armor so NONE of the ships weapons could kill it. I think we had some guys who look vaguely like Doctors "put medicine on it" till it fell asleep and we build a cage out of Magna blocks to keep it in. The end.

See that pic looks like a great time to me... those 84 battle gear accessory packs were exactly what My basecamp was missing.. I actually considered hitting ebay up for those while we were playing. We should totally play toys sometime.
That other guy pickin a fight not so much so, he can go write fanfic on Xanga till he gets his head right.

If you cant have fun with what Hasbro has been laying down the last couple years I don't know what it would take for you to have a fun time.

I wasn't picking any fight, dude. And because someone mentions they are an author, you have to forcibly stuff them into some weird strawman? It's laughable. If you have to demean others and mischaracterize them to make your position seem better, you have no ground to stand on.

And yeah, I have been having fun with what Hasbro has been releasing. It's Power of the Primes that is awful. Combiner Wars and Titans Return are positively fulfilling.

I don't have any ground to stand on I don't even know much about this stuff.
That might be why I can just make up whatever I want and use POTP to tie the other two all together and use those lil guys with these lil guys and stick this thing on that big guy and pewpew that's why imma just put this head over on that body bang and oh noes that ones dead now lets bring him back VECTOR PRIMED SON!
Which one of these assholes give my dude invisible and unbreackable butt knuckles? TADOW YOU CANT KILL STARSCREAM.
Them boys need me to be the annoying kid who forces them to think sometimes.

    TIMES UP!
The Answer was Micronus, he got the potyp all over Optimus Maximus power swapping Mirages invisibility and Ironhides invulnerability onto Dreadwinds Prime armor piece which connects to his ass area quiet well then Starscream took it from him and can use all of the above.
ITS LIEK YOU GUSY ARENT EVEN PLAYING!/s

I think that I took someone too seriously again. Looks like they're just screwing around, which is cool to do and all. Don't know if it's appropriate forum conduct but that's up to the mods.

Me too. Without clicking theres only five posts in this page and it’s much better.

To steer things back on topic I’ll re-post my theories.

    Wave 4
    Prime Masters:
    Almalgamous Prime with Thunderwing
    Onyx Prime with Catilla.

    Legends:
    The jet portion of Flywheels
    The tabk portion of Flywheels

    Deluxe:
(We already know Novastar(Firestar) is the only new deluxe of the wave.

    Voyagers:
    BW Megatron from Grimlock

    Leaders:
    Star Saber

    Wave 5:
    Prime Masters:
    Nexus Prime with...??
    Prima with...???

    Legends:
    Cliffjumper
    Beachcomber repaint(Crankstart?)

    Deluxes:
    Sideswipe
The Jazz repaint we know exists because of my thread here, maybe Sideswipe
Hoist from CW Trailebreaker using the unused Hoist head and a retooled chest for the Prime Armor.

    Voyagers:
Skywarp(because Thundercracker is a TRU exclusive according to leaks)
    Grapple from Inferno

    Leaders:
Ultra Magnus or Nemesis Prime, or possibly a heavily retooled Thunderwing from Star Saber(please.)

    Boxsets:
Pirhanacon, because we’ve seen Snap Trap’s head on prototype Hun-Gurr.
Monstructor, because we know Cutthroat used Wildfly’s head.
    G2 Dinobots.

With the pretender shells being used for the Prime Masters and the choice of Grimlock and Starscream as Voyagers if we'll see two box sets with Pretenders. Gimlock with Cattila, Chainclaw, Doubleheader (CW Strafe new twin nose), and Pretender Jazz. Starscream with Bludgeon (Brawl), Stranglehold, Snarler, and Bugly (UW Strafe repaint.

I would love that too, IDK. Maybe he and share a mold with a bottom half of Flywheels?

Not that I wouldn't want one but Crankstart seems unlikely because he was a one off movie mold reuse. Maybe another single alt mode Sandstorm?
