This is probably the only Omega Supreme I would ever consider purchasing, just because he finally has regular hands- and I did order him this morning + the bust to make the head smaller.

    He looks amazing. ^_^

This is a really random question, but I figure seeing as how this thread revolves around this character and some of his bigger fans are probably watching it, that perhaps you can answer this for me: Why does Omega Supreme have a helmet?

He's a robot, he doesn't breathe- so why does he have a helmet?

Well, I guess Technically, all transformers have a helmet. None of them have a naked head.

    Buuuuut, I don't think that's what you're asking.
I think the kinda Astronaut helmet that may possibly seal is your question. The easy answer is that his head is part of his transformation, and in most cases becomes a tank turret. So just think of his "helmet" as a transforming component and NOT a wearable helmet.

    The harder answer ;)
In G1 transformer TV episodes, there are several occasions where the transformers seem to breath. Indeed they sigh, cough and exhale and in one episode in particular (The Hunt) they are even knocked out by gas.
When visiting Cybertron, we see the planet has rivers of water and atmosphere breathable to humans. Despite the size of the planet it also appears to have similar gravity to Earth (Must have some manor of mass displacement tech. We'll cover this later). So they may have "evolved" to make use of environment, and in particular, the air around them as part of there daily functioning. Transformers can, and do go without breathable atmosphere for short periods of time (We have seen then take dives into open space several times) BUT it seems the time they can survive in a vacuum may be limited.
So, one would assume, that the Transformers do not have the same needs to breath as humans do, however; they do need have some amount of breathable atmosphere for normal operation. (Perhaps extended space walks may put them in stasis lock)
Omega Supreme's full face mask would allow him to operate without atmosphere for extended periods of time which works perfectly with his alt mode and abilities to travel through space.

Thank's for allowing me to nerd out LOL

Sunnavab!t........ I pulled the trigger on Apollo 10 mins ago. I was humming and hawing over Apollo for the past couple of days but avoided doing so because expensive, dwindling cash flow, an air conditioner would be better to keep cool at home, and i'm already enjoying way too many bots already collected at home. Generally I want to be more responsible with the $.

    But. Got. It. Anyway.

What made me buy it was out of anger, some stress and trying to find a way to placate my anger. I was aware that my wife was coming back on a flight from London to Vancouver, Canada. The plane landed early at 1:45 instead of 2:10 pm PST. Ok, now I was at work but our friend was going to pick her up and he never misses an airport pickup. He waited 2 hours and nothing. No phone call to let him know that she arrived. I started wondering if she was detained by Canada Customs or completely missed her flight. Anyway, by the time my shift was over, I headed to the direction of the airport trying to reach her, but didn't get an answer. I saw that her Whatsapp was last viewed at 2:28, so I thought OK, she must be alive. Then panic set in. Was she kidnapped? Trafficked out? She's an attractive, fit woman, Chinese but not Chinese looking, exotic looking! She's like 40, but hey, she doesn't look 40 at all. I started thinking Taken Liam Neeson and goddamn, I have no skills whatsoever to help save her! Maybe use an airbrush? Spray someone with paint and then weather them away?

My friend suggested I go home instead so I veered away from the airport and tore off home. Set some new land speed records, blew stop signs, overtook 5 people, went on wrong side of home. I sped home to see if she was there, and then back to the airport if not. This is now 3.5 hours from arrival (customs processing generally takes under 30 mins as she has expedited ID to get her back in Canada quickly).

I get home, open the garage door, and see her sleeping on the couch. Very happy she arrived, but I sternly spoke to her anyway because she acknowledged she got my messages about the friend's pickup, but then forgot by time she touched down from the other side of the pond. Feel bad for making my friend wait a couple of hours (turned out in the end he was fine with it, as he hung out at Starbucks, got free wifi, unlimited refills, and got some webwork done)

After speaking to the wife, I go outside, still de-stressing. Bought Apollo. Because not thinking clearly, plus low will power, I was very suggestible to anything stupid at that point in time to make myself calm.

Now here I am. Happy with Apollo. Disappointed about the purchase. Of course this will all melt away when I receive it in the mail. Now binging on super spicy instant noodle so I can feel additional pain while hammering out this post.

    Cheers to all!

Funny how robots, stress-release and instant noodles always seem to go hand in hand with our lot. :D

    Enjoy Apollo, he's wonderful.

Hahaha, the instant noodles and buying premium stuff concept will eternally be tied together in how we buy and enjoy our stuff. My favorite are the Nissin Cup Noodles (spicy seafood and curry being my favorite) and the Korean Nong Shim Premium Black (made in 'Murica fuĀ¢& yeah! For it's better quality ingredients than made in Asia).

No man, you are covered, i was just trying to sound cool, that's all, carry along!!! So if you have the SDT-03 kit already aquired, as Hardreturn mentioned, maybe be careful with the hose (not sure if anything can be done about it). I personally only use the hose and the G1 threads in combination with the threads that come with the main figure. I also love the Metroplex with the upgrade parts too (again, not using the smaller head myself, i prefer the SD heads).

Well, for someone like me who has always wanted an SDF-1, and not being able to afford the big ones from Yamato and skiping some of the smaller ones again because of price, this was a a godsend.

Now, this is very different than the Metroplex / Omega / Scorp / Trypticon. It is much more basic in joints. No ratchets, no diecast, no lights, very low articulation, and transformation very simplistic (more than the rest). It is however very detailed (maybe more than the others) and I love the look, and comes with a stand, and two small veritechs (none transformable).

I am personally happy i got him, filled a need and looks nice, but it is not for everyone, and not the cheapest toy either, but... it is best priced SDF-1 on the market by a long shot, so worth it for me.

    Good Luck

The "regular" sized head just makes him look like he got his head shrunk by a witch. Doesn't look right at all to me.

Does anyone have either of Iron Factory's Scorponoks and can take a picture with this guy to see how they scale together? Base mode for both would be cool too but bot mode more important.
