I know people don't want to believe this is a reboot, and it may not be in the traditional sense, but I feel like Paramount is going to see where this goes and pick up from there. If it's well received, They'll just basically all but ignore the previous movies and continue in this new direction.

I've seen some talk on places like /movies on Reddit... people who weren't interested in the previous movies at all are perking up a bit when they found out Knight is directing.

 

Well there is a 20 year gap from this movie to the first movie, there are 20 unexplored years they can explore in future films

 

Just like X-Men: Days of Future Past was a prequel to X-Men 2000, right? Thought it could be a Rogue One...

Look, we could be wrong in assuming that the Bee movie (totally calling it that now) will be a "reboot" in some sense, but the climate is right for this kind of reboot. The last movie was poorly received, both critically and commercially. There's a new director and script writer, but the producers are the same (right?). All new actors (again) and even Bee is a new actor (a Volks Beetle instead of a Camaro). So...it might be a reboot, but it might not be a reboot. I wouldn't rule out the possibility of either.

 

I'm in the same camp too. While I enjoyed the first movie back in '07, all the movies that came since have been utter train wrecks (albeit with some great ideas and concepts here and there) to me. I watched about half of Age of Extinction on Netflix but couldn't even be bothered to watch The Last Knight.

I'm very interested in this new movie though.

 

Hailee was also in Pitch Perfect 2 and 3 and she's got some.pipes on her.

 

The geewunners have hopes for a reboot! lol

 

I know some are arguing whether this is a reboot or not. I don't care, I just want this to be a good movie. Might not even stick out if anything is rebooted, TLK retconned some things from the 1st 4 movies.

I just want an enjoyable movie and look forward to what Knight can deliver. I get the feeling this movie will be okay for kids to watch, which might be why Hasbro is starting to hype this movie up.

When the star wars franchise released episodes 1,2 and 3 which took place before the original series they called them prequels, wouldn't that apply to these movies as well?

I doubt she'll sing in the movie, but she might get the closing credits and a few songs on the OST. If they release one.

2 if 1 is true than why is it "NOT THE CASE?"

Concerning "Even Bee is a new Actor". No he is not. As far as i know, he has multiple Vehicle Modes during the Movie, and one of
them is the classic Bettle Car. But the Robot Mode is still the same (Head and Body Design as always).

An "Entire Reboot" is again (Just like the time travel Plot of the Last Knight from Fans) just someone elses Fantasy.
Just a useless theory inside the Heads of some Fans or Geewunners.

Many people also said, that TF4 AoE was a Reboot and had nothing to do with TF 1-3.
This was also not the case. Because Hasbro said AoE was a Sequel AND an Recap of Chicago Battle was shown in the Beginning of AoE.
Hell, Megatron even held Starscreams DEAD Head from TF3 in his Hands in The Last Knight.

Same here again. As long as there is no officially Word from Hasbro and Paramount like
"Next 2 Movies will be complete Reboot and they have nothing to do with previous Movies"
THEN it is one.

But from what i understood, Paramount announced long Ago, Bumblebee was planned as Prequel
and 2019 Movie is planned as the Unicron Battle / Quintessa Sequel Plot.

There is a Reason why their Movies are have the Title: Transformers Universe..
because you know...just like DC Universe and Marvel Universe.
The Movies take place in the same....Universe  

It is the same thing as you would say:
"Captain America Movies or Civil War Movie has nothing to do with Avengers"

How did you find out that Bee's Robot Mode is the same? A Camaro-based Robot and a Beetle-based Robot are the same to you?? Are there pics of robot mode that I missed?

Look, I'm just saying a VW Beetle and a Chevy Camaro don't have remotely the same build, so some parts will change (LIKE THE BODY) but things like the head will stay the same.

Didn't suggest (personally) an entire reboot, though I'm sure somebody in the board room meetings at Hasbro or Paramount was like "Let's pull a Spider-Man!".

We say "reboot" because the humans and like, most of the robots, disappeared without any context other than "Chicago fallout". The head was a gag, and isn't accurate if you actually WATCHED DOTM.

Doesn't mean they can't retcon in-universe. Look at Batman V. Superman and Justice League for an idea of what that looks like. Or, you know, AOE and TLK. Hell, look at Transformers IDW.

Um...what? The movies may be connected tangentially to the Avengers, except Civil War which IS Avengers for all intents and purposes, but...actually, I don't know what you mean by this. And the other stuff I left out.
