Forget $18, try when basics jumped from $6.50 to $7.00 for Energon. You would've thought Archer himself was climbing down their chimneys and smashing their kids' piggy banks.

You're going quite insane about this. Chill out.

The meltdowns. Definitely the meltdowns. See below.

Perfect example of a silly meltdown.

Truly doubt that the "impost" market do heavily damages Hasbros domestic sales, which are targeted to kids.

So just skimming the thread and I am confused. :wtf:

The was it the Illuminati or the New World Order or 'Deep State' that made Takara's business decision for them?
:dunce :dunce :dunce :dunce  pretend those are tin-foil hats... you know what, dunce hats are fitting too.:2c:

... so does this mean that Takara's going to charge the same price as Hasbro? If not, then eff this noise.

Compared to the damage that domestic players keep doing to themselves, maybe not. Have to admit, I'm starting to like getting toys for 60% off on Amazon. Sure beats putting up with "wholesale" shenanigans, that's for sure. Brace yourselves for a national sales tax sooner or later, though, as retailers that don't want to stock shelves start blaming embargo victims for "unfair" competition.

Also the dunce cap should be reserved for the mooks worked up about that MAGA nothingburger.

His ever conflicting mind at play I suppose?

For someone whom expressed his distaste about Hasblow since the birth of Primus together with the rage of Unicron, I was alarmed to find these posts when I frequented the other thread for POTP Duocons...

I felt obligated in sharing these as images instead of just quoting the dude's posts previously just to make sure that I don't get accused of doctoring/editing his posts.

He probably missed the packaging to realised that it's by Hasblow. :lol

    Oh well...

Oh well. I've been paying sales tax with Amazon purchases for the past year or so. I was mad at first, but after awhile, it's proven to not be such a big deal. So when all of the rest of the states wise up and start taxing internet sales, I think everyone else will learn to deal with it too.

To be fair, I'm an Australian living in Japan so I don't know how it all goes down in the US.

But fairly soon, Australians are going to have to pay Australian Sales Tax (GST) on internet purchases made overseas, because Aussie retailers had a hissy fit cry that Internet shopping was killing Australian retail (without really looking at why Aussie retail is dying).

It almost certainly has nothing to do with Hasbro. Of course, without any solid figures it's hard to guess, but it almost certainly is a case of the Legends line's recent dedicated aim at adult collectors (and only adult collectors) not panning out the way they hoped and so they're dialling it back a notch to recuperate.

How wild it would be if they unified the other way, with Hasbro products being given the same quality as Takara figures!

That would be nice, but retailers would not be pleased about the prices going up.

Bad - as it is, the mainline figures are way overpriced. I shudder to think about how much more expensive they would be. $30 for a deluxe figure anyone?

Hasbro at the time said they had to take short cuts and raise prices due to oil being up to about 3+ a gallon or 80-90 a barrel. that was a few years ago...before that they had already started scaling back on plastic quality...( which i had pointed out over at the allspark and was laughed at....yet here we are...)
so then Oil crashes and oddly enough Hasbro nor the retail stores drop their prices, because we as consumers already spoke with our wallets. We bought those toys for 20 a pop. 50 a pop...and they did nothing. Hasbro isnt some villain that needs to be defeated, but they are cheap skates. They have reused the same molds so much its absurd. Look i dont mind reusing molds...I used to own numerous minicon variants, but even then you noticed a lack from the first to last version. Hasbro has removed paint, hollowed out toys, and reused molds enough that toys feel even worse than usual. Hasbro isnt giving us their best, they are giving us what they feel they need to stay in the market thats getting smaller and smaller. Sadly this affects things like paints and quality...and sadly it really doesnt have too.
