As a Star Saber fan, count me in. I love this and don't care if it doesn't transform. That's why I have the other Star Saber figures for.

 

I can almost see how this could be an awesome retool of Cybertron Starscream!

On the other hand it would look out of place with my Reformatted bots so MMC better announce yours soon.  

 

Don't hate on Gundam designs, lol. I have quite a few Gundam kits and they're awesome.
One of my favorite Transformers is Energon Mirage/Dreadwind. He just needs posable hands and he'll be perfect.
The design of Star Saber here is amazing. I'm very tempted to get this figure.

im there with you i have gundam kits myself gundam wing Master Grade Wing Gundam Ver.Ka and few others gundam kits are fun to put together but expensive as *^%^ i can normaly put master grade and higher level gundam together in one to two days if i felt like it i like how star saber looks its shame he dont trasnform other wise i buy him how he looks

Just buy Gundam kit and paint it red, white and blue...slap some Auto logo on the shoulders...much cheaper!

To be honest, non-transforming figs of robot designs that I love appeal to me more as a chogokin collector.

Even star saber himself attracts a lot of "he looks like a gundam" comments from people who haven't seen any other 70's super robot and don't know that the guy who designed the original rx78 -2 designed star saber.

Gorgeous. For someone like me that admire Gundam style robots but don’t actually care for a Gundam, this is perfect. I especiallu love the wings!

 

I've always wished we'd had a decent line of non-transforming Transformers action figures. The main toys have their place, but I'd like something that doesn't sacrifice aesthetics and poseability for the transformation feature.

I like this version of Star Saber better than the original. Of course, I like Gundam, too. I used to wish Bandai and Takara would get together and give us a Gundam style Transformers model kit line. Unlikelier things have happened - I think.

 

I understand, it's just unfortunate that regardless, star saber will always attract the "that's a gundam" kind of stuff :/
