Who is actually buying these fucking statues?
For the money these go for I could buy one of each of the overpriced mp wannabe third party toys.

Wow another one? Palisades went under selling statues at $50 - $150 each, and these guys.

    Soundwave - $999.99
    Ultra Magnus - $999.99
    Starscream - $1299.99
    Rodimus Prime - $1299.99

That's like almost 4 months of mortgage payments for me, there has to be enough Richie Rich collectors out there to keep this line going.

    It's nuts.

I'd buy one as a collection centerpiece, but even then there's pretty much only one version of one character that I'd spend that much to have a large, extremely detailed, unposable version of.

I could maybe see this appealing to someone that's a fan of the franchise but doesn't want to collect toys.

Just, in this day and manufacturing age, there is no appeal for non-transforming Transformers to me. 3rd Parties have proven that transformable figures can be extremely well done in nearly all scales.

I dislike the split's in the chest and how the wheels sit.

I've said this before but I really wish statue makers would stop trying to go for hyper stylised and overly detailed takes. They rarely look good and since they cant transform they automatically loose to a toy. I do enjoy the paints often used but that's about it. I'd honestly be super happy if a statue came out that was just 100% the animation model. It's crazy to think this is a no-brainer with Japanese figures but for what ever reason for tf's everyone's gotta change it up.

Also the prices are high unless these are resin case in that case those typically are pricey to make etc.

The fact that Imaginarium has already jumped to Jazz, confirms to me that the powers to be KNOW that Jazz is a HUGE character favourite. Why oh why hasn't he received the MP treatment from Takara?

This leads me to believe he is coming, but will it be better than MakeToys... can't wait to find out.

I agree with this. The rest not so much (non-transforming isn't inherently bad; price is size + quantity manufactured and I believe they're usually cold-cast resin but I could be wrong), but anyway, it's kind of weird that they go for this look when I don't think it's the look that'll sell the most. Still, I like it overall.

Licensing, I believe. Porsche is a notoriously hard license to get. Look how long they took Volkswagen to say yes to Bumblebee, and they still had to work on them for a while to get them to say yes to his peashooter (because VW doesn't like to be associated with "war machines" - WWII and Nazi Germany etc. etc.) so it's not entirely surprising that they'd be stubborn with Jazz. But it'll happen eventually. They also seem to want to do arguably less-popular characters first, for some reason (Inferno, Grapple, Trailbreaker, Hoist, etc).

    None?

WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT A MINUTE....

This is an officially licensed G1 Jazz. Which is a Porsche. And everyone has been saying there was no chance of a MP Jazz because of Porsche licensing issues.

DOES THIS MEAN WE CAN HAVE A MP JAZZ NOW?

I don't see where the confusion is....

This product does not transform into a Porsche. Ergo, no licensing or permission required. MP Jazz would turn into a Porsche, hence, licensing and permission required.

It may need to be licensed if there is enough of the alt mode elements that are visible, but there's not enough to go by on the picture alone.

Nice. I don't see anything there that looks remotely Porsche-like.
