I just want WJ to downsize their Megs to MP scale !! That would be perfect !!

I have all 5 MP sized Megs so I probably do !!!  
But the MP is a good height to hold and mess with, as compared to MPP10 size.
This size is more of a display size than a "mess around" sized figure !!

 

At this point ANY KO company can only improve on this guy.  

 

And all the die cast too, i can imagine it will be very unweildy.

@Haydenite 's paint job makes a huge difference to this figure.
Looks wise the stock figure is very bland and unimpressive, it desperately needs some kind of paint. Even with paint though he'd never be more than a display piece for me. Way too loose and floppy for me to want to dare the transformation and he lives in my Megatron shelf along with several other Megatrons. To me this is, unfortunately, the weakest of all the current large scale Megs figures. If the manufacturer had delivered what was promised, with paint, display stand and good QC he'd be a worthy contender, but for me at least, he's firmly in the "disappointed, might-have been" category.
If I get around to one day painting him and drowning him in Future for the joints, I may appreciate him more, but he'll always be tainted by the manufacturers failure to do it right. But as I said before, I knew what I was getting when I ordered him and from that perspective I got what I expected. I’ll be picking up one of the MP-36 KO’s along with WeiJiangs OS Megatron, plus GC’s IDW Megs and Planet X’s WFC Megatron and I expect all of them to wow me more than this.

 

Seeing him next to the other Megs sure does make him look like a snaptogether model built in a rush without applying the decals.

 

Yeah, he's very very plain out of the box !! Had he been painted and toleranced properly, he would have been a very good Megatron. If you do get around to futuring or nail-polished him up, I can say from my experience, it's does a world of difference. Especially the ratchets where it meets the crotch.

 

And this is coming from what's one of the more forgiving and optimistic reviewers around... Eesh.

 

So I had some more time with him. Robot to gun to tank to robot.

I'd say he's on par with DNA Bludgeon or MMC Shockwave in terms of being fiddly to pose and transform. Two figures I've messed with recently. If you can handle them, you can handle him.

As for the instructions, I made the mistake of going from gun to tank. The instructions go from robot to tank, so it was a little confusing at first. The instructions aren't very clear to see (think MPM4 instructions).

Some stuff popped off during transformation, which I popped back on easily.

He holds together better in both alt modes than MPM4, which I'll have to mod I guess.

 

I made a custom adaptor for the "gun mode only" scope. So I can now attach in mode mode as well. I need to make it again as the current one makes the cannon sit quite hight from the arm. I want to make it so it's closer to the body.
Also painted the sword and the matrix in silver.

 

99,- At numerous Black Friday sales... still not low enough for me. I'll bite when he hits 70,- or less.

I know Despotron is 70,- at some sales now, but I just don't think he's that great....too big, too fat, and a very panely and hingey gunmode. Got Apollyon and a preorder on the MP re-release, so I'm fine in the MP department. It's mostly the gunmode that appeals to me with this one.

Peaugh hasn't shot a review yet? Can't find it at least...

 

I remember him talking about shooting a review on Twitter and that he had a lot of negative things to say about it.

 

Have you considered a Rioter Despotron? You can get him for around $70-$80, he's not quite a MP since you say you're fine in that field, and he is a lot of fun. Unless of course you're solely looking for realistic like Megatrons, instead of just any Megs.
