Oh man. In regards to figures that I got then immediately a better version was announced, I tracked down a used Movie Breakaway (the Cybertron Hot Shot redeco) less than a week before the leak of all the wave 3 Titans Return figures. Besides that the majority of my GDO figures were replaced within a couple of years between Thrilling 30 Swerve, Sandstorm, and Springer, FoC Brawl and Laserbeak (which were also eventually replaced by their CW/TR counterparts), and eventually CW Hot Spot and Dead end and TR Wheelie. As of now the only ones I still have on display are the Cliffjumper and Powerdive from that line. Plus the Legends scale Thundercracker on my Thundercracker shelf. And I still Wheelies slingshot for TR Wheelie
I looked for a SNES CL a couple times and the 2DS caught my eye. I decided I would get more use out of the 2DS and I'm surprised at how much I've been picking it up. I've been playing Dragon Quest VIII and haven't even looked at the other games I bought yet. Eff lasagna.
Hearing your comment on your custom Beast Megatron's little fall made me smile, Vangelus. I've been customizing with Testors Model Master Acryl for over five years and is it by far the BEST paint for models and transformers touch-ups, repaints or anything in between. When it cures it cures HARD. I\'ve never had to topcoat anything I've worked on. I've had mixed results with other brands, Mr. Hobby, Tamiya, etc. I always go back to Testors Acryl.
Finally we hear the name of the one WTF Podcaster who brings it all together. Cheers to you Mark. Suffer in silence to more, we now know you're there. You might be the proverbial silent partner who only whispers the odd topic suggestion, but you are important. So thanks Mark the Imaginary Man, keep up the good work!
I need to look into the stuff, it's fn amazing that it doesn't need a topcoat to become that durable. :O
Regarding Grotusque, I was at NYCC and I was waiting on line for an autograph with my girlfriend when I saw the news about him. I left the line (she kept waiting) and RAN to where I thought the Hasbro stuff was being sold; turns out I went to where the panel was earlier in the day, which I missed. I got really worried and then read the info again. I checked online and it was sold out. I'm really bummed as well but I am hoping he comes out in stores, like Toys R Us. He looks like a really cool figure!
Same, holding out that I can get him at a reasonable price at retail. Robot Kingdom has some for preorder but with shipping it's $50. A lot of the appeal is lost for me when I think about what that extra $25 could go towards.
