"I honestly don't know. I showed up, there was a race starting, so I jumped on Dusk's bike."

 

Backlash continued accelerating.

 

Dev began accelerate up past SAP and Dusks bike.

((Mind acknowledging TFan's electrical attack?))

 

"Oh, you're not getting away that easil-"

That's when the Bike was hit with an electromagnetic pulse along with its riders. The Bike itself was fine, being a simple metal frame with pedal-powers. The rider, however...

"HRPTGHIHRGIP!"

 

Backlash glances back and snickers.

 

The electrical charge soon is dispersed from Dusk's processors and head, but her legs are kicked (heh) into hyperdrive, rocketing past Backlash and Dev.

The two, however, are soon joined by Stone and his lion, managing to keep up with blinding speed.

 

Dev would strangely pull out a red shell from his car and throw it. The shell targeted Stone and flew at him.

 

"The fu-" Stone managed before the shell struck, causing the lion to flip over.

 

Dev waves as he passes Stone.

"That's why you shouldn't ride a Jaxi!"

 

"You should be careful what YOU ride, Dev," Backlash grins, as he tosses a couple centipede drones, that proceed to follow Dev.

 

There's the sound of treads going the opposite direction as the racers before Combat, mildly battered but otherwise unharmed, transforms to robot mode and back flips over the lead racer ((Heavy Gunner, I believe)) before throwing two of the winged blue shells the blew him up earlier. The shells immediately lock on to the lead racer and fly at alarming speeds after them, and Combat lands facedown on the track with a resounding THWAP.

 

"Oh, slag." Backlash, shifts one of several levers, and his bike converts into a hoverbike, and he flies over the situation.

 

TFan readies the blue shell gun.

It exploded and took all the drones out earlier. It should do so now!

She fired a blue shell into the centipede drones.

 

TFan's electrical blast shorted out Sap's shapeshifting abilities, returning him to his standard form. Well, her standard form. "Ow..."

 

"It won't be THAT easy..."Backlash remarked. At that instant the centipede-drones clamped onto TFan's vehicle, and explode, designed to incinerate anything metal in a five-klik radius, but the explosion also released a rapid rusting gas.

 

"Do we have any real long range weapons to take out the lead Dev?" wonders TFan going over the specs of each of the arsenal.

Dev hands Tfan another blue shell.

 

Necro was doing his damnedest to catch up to the lead, quite literally blazing a trail forward.

The racers wouldn't be too far from the finish line now, the beach appearing just beyond the horizon for the lead racer...

 

Stone's lion had managed to get back on its feet, but the time it had to take cost the two their close-to-lead position.

Dusk and SAP, meanwhile, were considerably close to the lead...

 

"We're doing better than I honestly thought we would."
