I'm a little confused. Is this an upgrade to Hasbro JetFire or this is a completely new figure? Why would you have fillers in a new figure.

I don't know, TCP's is the same.
Maybe this started as an upgrade?!

I don't think I've ever seen any mention of this as being anything but a full figure. It was even teased by X2Toys at Cons long before it was even announced and had nothing remotely resembling the Generations figure to it.

That product description at TCP is puzzling. The description actually fits X2Toys own Ultra Magnus upgrade. Perhaps a copy and paste  

Just replace thighs with shins.

 

On Tf-direct and TCP both must be wrong thien. After looking at BBTS, I feel better. Must of been the origrinal design to upgrade Generations Skyfire. Definitely waiting for a review on this first... ^O^

While I certainly understand that others feel differently, IMHO, there's only one 3P "masterpiece-style" Skyfire/Jetfire and that is FansToys' Phoenix. He's a bit big and unwieldy. However, the mold, the transformation - heck - everything about him - is just ripped right from the G1 animation cels. I had a G1 Jetfire and while it was a fun toy on it's own, I always wanted something that looked like the cartoon version. It took 30+ years, but I finally got it. There's just no need (in my mind) to even investigate other versions of the figure.

 

Except this isn't meant to be an MP Skyfire.

 

Yeah this is supposed to go with TR/CHUG collection. But you are correct about FT phoenix....he is the standard to base all other sky fire figs. Cause he be awesome.

 

I guess I missed the part where he was more in line with the CHUG style. (To be honest, I really only look at 3P stuff for Masterpiece scale anyway)

 

I am contend with ft phoenix... easy pass for this figure, hate that thick nosecone in jet mode ... but I do need a g1 voyager and legend class skyfire though...

This skycrusher reminds me of Kronos, looks like skyfire but only uglier...

 

God damn, fuck G1 accuracy. I'm getting sick of seeing "this isn't G1 enough" comments on figures that aren't meant to be G1 figures. Happy with Phoenix? Fantastic! But I'm not. He's too god damn big so I'm sorry if you are somehow offended by a non MP giant Skyfire.... Wait, no, I'm not. No one cares how great Phoenix is in here cause he doesn't fit with our collections.

 

Meh. He's a "butter face" but thank god there are talented people making better faces and heads, etc.

 

Pass on Phoenix. He's too big. I really only collect chug.
Phoenix is way too Toon accurate.
I think i'm going to stalk the Phoenix thread with these kind of comments for a while. See you there trolls

Just a replacement Titan Master away from being my ideal CHUG Skyfire. Articulation and playability are already great.
