No, what's not cool is FunPub having a lock on Needlenose and Spinister. But I'm not about go on eBay sorting through $50 price tags. So here's to Hasbro getting a clue in about 2 more years since Krok was a TFClub exclusive in 2015 until Hasbro righted that appalling issue this year.

Ha. I wanted mine to be GoldPlasticSyndromeDeadEnd but it was too long. Didn't occur to me to just do GPSDeadEnd.

GPS would have been funny cause of the double meaning too.

You are about $100 too low. Their prices are stupid.

They could repaint this figure to make Stalker (European Soundwave from the Turbomasters vs. Predators).

Also, it's always nice to see posts from fellow Dead Ends.

That'd be a neat convention exclusive possibly down the line. Like 2 sets of two packs of autobot vs decepticon representing the Turbomasters and Predators using Combiner wars and TR molds or POTP. I'd definitely consider getting one of Jazz repainted as Stepper/Ricochet and this mold done as Soundwave with a new head. Or whatever other combinations they could come up with to do the cars and predator plane squad.

At the rate we're coming out of the woodwork, we could form our own gestalt team. :lolol

That would be great! I used to have Falcon (Megatron), Talon (?) and Sky Quake (Starscream).

I call shotgun on the left arm ;-)

Quake is a great use of the hardhead mold. Lovely colors. Well worth a pick up and there's still a few knocking around where I am.

I only picked up Quake and Krok because the local Walmart suddenly got them in a few weeks ago (without Perceptor, Kup, or Topspin, or the new characters from deluxe wave 5) but scanning them they were still at the $9.88 price they were when people were finding them at Walmarts back in May. That is basically the same price as a legend at Walmart, I believe. I treat him as a MW Soundwave/Stalker update myself, but hopefully the other 1988 Targetmasters all get new molds later. A deluxe Apache-con is money.

They don't have a lock. Hasbro just haven't decided to do them themselves yet. What FunPub did or didn't do had no bearing on what Hasbro chooses to do. All FunPub did was do the toys that Hasbro had confirmed they weren't going to be doing themselves any time soon.

That whole exclusivity thing was a bit of a red herring. If that was the case, the Games of Deception Seekers wouldn't have seen retail release in America. Hell, when it comes right down to it, they could decide to do a series that is nothing BUT 1 for 1 reissues of FunPub releases. They own the rights, they can do whatever they want.

    HAHAHAHAHAHA

    exactly.

not a red herring, just what Hasbro had planned at the time. Sometime in 06, they knew they weren’t doing the rest. So FunPub did. Then sometime later they re-evaluated and release Thundercracker and the others in what, 09, 2010? Same with Krok. Club made one, Hasbro made a different version because who else is Skullcrusher going to be repainted into?

Skullcrusher didn't have to be repainted though. There are plenty of wolves to repaint Weirdwolf into yet his TR toy has yet to be repainted at all.

True enough. I'd love a Carnivac from that mold.

That's true, but maybe one is coming somewhere still?

yeah, but his colors would be pretty similar, right? Maybe that's why they aren't... I'd love something wild, like a BW K-9 repaint from that mold.

I'm happy enough with Krok though. However, personally, I'd have repainted Skullsmasher into Gatoraider and have Krok as the head. Since Krok wasn't actually supposed to be a croc.

    Semantics....
Hasbro dragging their feet with figures like the ones I've stated was my point.

FunPub is dead and gone now anyway but the "lock" I was referring to was the earliest time in which Hasbro makes their own versions of figures I feel should've been released at retail in the first place. Which based on Krok could possibly be as earlier as 2 years.

So here's hoping HASBRO as I've started before will get a clue and release these figures as well as characters like Reflector at retail ASAP.

I have TR Krok upside down in gator mode using the tail handle to be held by Club Krok as a gun...

Wow....Some of you FunPub fans are so sensitive. Even I've been part of the tfclub in the past, doesn't mean I had to love it

Fake laugh all you want. As irritating as Walgreens is, I'd rather see some of my favs released under them as exclusives than 2 figures I like in a set of 5 for almost $400 via Botcon.
