That makes the Toyworld one look downright amazing, though. When it comes to masterpiece sized figures, having bare, blocky slabs of plastic looks like junk compared to a nicely detailed yet still very G1 homaging figure. It also wouldn't match the rest of Fans Toys' aesthetic, which is more Hasui than tooncrap.

Yeah. Aesthetically it is the best looking (I like the rubber tires too) to date but not quite G1 media accurate like this picture. Plus the qc drama made me avoid TW's set altogether.

I'm sure FT will not disappoint.

FT Omega and Skyfire were long waits after their silhouettes but here we are.

When FT does officially releases a silhouette you can pretty much take it to the bank.

....34 pages of discussion... about a silhouette... of a toy... that won't even begin to exist for at least another year.

I declare SHHHHHHHH unless it's an update.

I don't think putting gag orders on everyone is the approach. Let folks speak freely. You can always unfollow the thread and check back later. That's what I do.

The excitement for this figure is super high. Hopefully, FT is taking note of that. People are desperate for our first, proper, MP combiner. Everything up until now has been chug MP.

Terminus was a silhouette in 2014, nothing physical until 2016, not released until 2017.

It was already there the instant the topic was subjected to aesthetics, looks, and design & engineering when all we've seen is a teaser-silhouette.

I really hope they use my suggestion years ago to avoid parts forming. The constructicons had such rectangle boxy chest/torsos. They could easily have a hand folded in forearm folded in the hollow chest of scrapper and bonecrusher. Then scrapper and Mixmaster could have the thighs folded in their chest connecting to long haul which should only have nubs with articulation into their thigh peices. Hide the head on a multi hinged arm in hooks chest that tabs in solid. It's a lot like the route xtb has taken but I think the result is the best look and most solid result.

FT has some pretty big diecast chests with plenty of room in dibots and headmasters. These would be a tad smaller.

That's pretty much my idea with my Predaking!

I think that's what everybody wants. Innovative solutions. The key is that they provide the stability, articulation, and durability of a solution like the ones for Constructor without compromising the bot. For the solutions you want these bots have to be designed from the inside out and you are a slave to the figure's physics to a large degree (Saturn V rocket problem). All of the other internal nonpartsforming solutions have been slavish compromises for the gimmick. The hands are folded up in pieces and suck, the feet suck, the head is too small. Both Devy and Predaking have benefits and major drawbacks. In each case you are left with the goals of how to get a solid ratcheted knee, proper head size that articulates, articulated hand or gauntlet, and feet.

Hook - Start with TW Hook. You will need to partsform the chest shield. The crane section needs to rotate and lock in and use the same connector system for the arms as Constructor. The bot also folds in half and has to connect securely together and then to Long Haul. At that point can you hide the entire combiner head in the chest on the left side with an armature that contorts through all of those connections just to plug in on top? Or will a company just plug in the head on the top?

Long Haul - I am sure you can get leg extensions to meet up with something below. Real question is does his crotch hold up and work for combiner crotch or does that need to separate and become something else.?

Scrapper - Upside down. Chest cannot hide a thigh and ratcheted knee. Do you combiner wars the legs or have a two layer shelled leg system that combines? Where is the ratchet, the feet?

Mixmaster - Is chest really that big with giant drum on the back for ratcheted thigh extension?

Scavenger - Like Hook has top and lower half and needs to rotate. How much space is available to hide the gauntlet? Same issue for Bonecrusher

Razorclaw - Torso needs to telescope a little with an ab crunch. Biggest issue is need to telescope legs a little because thigh covers have to be there or how do we account for them because G1? This provides a big help with the legs that I think could hide enable Headstrong to hide a two inch ratcheted knee in the chest with space to provide room for the articulation.

Divebomb/Rampage - How do you hide the big fist in the legs? Split sucks. You end up chasing your tail because of degrees of freedom.

Headstrong/Tantrum - Does the foot become permanently attached with an armature on the back that swings down for combined mode foot. Does that have clearance for transformation? Does someone want to engineer that over the easier optional places it can go separately?

Feet and fists can partsform... But both will transform into something else, maybe just how MMC did with his Feral Rex...

Was it ever confirmed that Fans Toys were working, or planning on working, on the Constructicons? Did Dalianji ever say anything?

For now Superion have their attention and it looks better than Zeta Kronos... But it seems to use the same technology... Zero innovation there... I am really not interested In their combiners anymore until I see a real change in the "know how".
