Are deleted scenes that has been released as extras canon? One could say that since they're deleted, this automatically makes them non-canon but still.

How about the deleted Forest Fight bits? Did they happen or not?

 

Personally I like to think that deleted scenes are canon as long as they don't contradict the final film.

Are they really extra scenes specifically added to the Imax and Blu-Ray or were they supposed to be there in the first place and got later removed though?

i agree with this...as far as im concerned, deleted scenes & filmverse comics are canon unless the movies contradict them then i will side with the films..for example, i had topspin & wheelie as dead until further notice, well, tlk changed that...thats why, as it stands now, chromia & jolt are dead & the twins, who actually appear in dotm, are dead as well since they were absent for the autobot exile scene & the only way that makes sense is if they were killed how they were originally supposed to be (only offscreen)
