Oh cool. Hope they show something about the bigger DJD members sooner than later.

 

I would've liked to see him have scarring on one side of his face like in the comic, but oh well. He still looks good if a bit big for my tastes.

It's a shame MMC still haven't revealed a Nickel yet, tho. I can understand why the bigger DJD dudes are taking so long, but Nickel is so easy to do since she's so small.

 

I have a feeling Nickel will be included with pet.

I echo the statements for a repaint of beast wars ravage. All he needs are two pistols and russian kitty is back. Decepticons forever!

 

Needs better sculpted fists. I don't mind that he can't hold anything but those mits look a bit shite. Otherwise looks mostly on point.

 

This guy was shown off in robot mode for the very first time this weekend at CollectorFest Calgary (A toy show that myself and 2 of my friends organized, this was our second show.)

Here are the few pics I was able to snap. (The photo that Cheem posted is also technically mine I believe, a quick phone snap while I was still working the show floor to get it onto FB real quick.) I tried to get as close as possible to see some facial details but A) This was a resin sample, no one was allowed to touch it or reposition it and B) it's definitely a soft sculpt that hasn't been 100% finalized so... think of it as a rough draft. Big thanks to A3U for letting me have a look and snap some pics!

Since you saw it in person, how big is the robot mode? Cynicus size or smaller?

 

I want to say it was a little bit shorter... but honestly it's hard to say. Definitely much stockier proportions. The sample was very fragile and surrounded by much larger bots on the table so I couldn't really get any real comparison shots. I've got a few shots of the table that might help with a sense of scale gimme a moment here and I'll get em posted.

 

OK I'm definitely not as helpful as I thought I would be, the sample fell during the show and all my larger group shots have him laying flat on the table... You can see him in the background of this shot, as well as the MMC bugs, who all appear to be similar in size. Hopefully that gives you an idea of his size? Sorry I didn't have a clearer photo for you.

I've got a few photos as well, including a look at his backside.

And he's supported using a standard Tamashii stage so that should help indicate his scale. Looking at him he looked to be about the height of Deluxe or so, I'd wager.

 

looks a little fatter than the one on the front page.

 

I think that's a trick of the pose/nature of shading on 3D renderings.

His backpack looks like it's part of the torso there when it's clear that it's a backpack in the physical prototype. Still looks great, mind.

Also I've gotta say him being at CollectorFEST was an unexpected surprise; I didn't even pay attention to the Ocular Max Cliffjumper proto they had on display, my attention was so focused on him. (I kinda wrote off the CJ as some sort of Trailbreaker at a glance due to his colors.)

A3U really spoiled us con-goers both with their offerings and with their display of MMC figures.

 

I hope we get his Hook!Vos suit too. Doesn't actually have to be armor, it can be a separate fig.
