I ended up in my local Sainsbury's which hasn't had anything TF apart from a smattering of RID Deluxes, killing time before my next bus having missed the prior one due to some civic-minded direction giving, and a TLK Standee had materialised with £18 TLK Deluxes Steelbane, Skweeks, a Drift and a maybe a Bee? As well as some TLK Legions and some kind of TLK One-steppers or other quick change versions I have no interest in. Nothing particularly noteworthy TBH but a genuine surprise to see such TFs in there.

Ouch, looks like i'm not getting Grotusque then.

Anyway Sainsbury's at Forest Retail Park in Thetford had nothing remarkable to report. Pokemon cards were reduced so I treated myself.

Got a pack full of utter shit but now i'm just venting my frustration. :p

Nosed around Great Yarmouth Sainsbury's today. No RID that I could see, just TLK stuff. Picked up a Dlx Steelbane (OMFG, is he floppy!) and Legion Megatron. Plus some lovely Lego.
On a nice side note, finally got my hands on a SNES Mini today from Argos.
I dunno about clothes in there since I only ever look in TK Maxx for TF. But considering £25 TR Leader Optimus and Blaster in there this time last year, plus CW Voyager Cyclonus for a tenner and CW Sky-Lynx for £13, I don't think it's too unreasonable to think TR Fort Max might've been a bit cheaper than £120. Even £100 would've perhaps swayed me since I've never paid more than a ton for any TF.

Damn, I was building myself up for it being the same as Arcee was, £35 and had made peace with that, the price they have it for is too steep for me! I could buy Quakeblast from them for cheaper (tempted but running out of space for bigger figures and kinda hope hasbro do their own voyager/leader Shockwave)

Not saying never they have deals, just when i was in there in the week nothing i looked at seemed like a good enough deal. I want this tmnt megabloks set and they had it but i was eyeing it up on amazon.com for probably a little less shipped. It could be just me these days... I think they were chancing it on all their toys though. Look at fortmax is roughly the same as this years trypticon from tesco i think, hell think i paid near the same price when it was just released. also considering we did see fort max go for less than a hundred not 12 months ago too. He was up for a hundred online for quite a long period too.

I just checked the large Sainsbury's here in Tottenham. No sign of Slugslinger or any TR figure on the shelves for that matter. I suspect bullshit... ¬_¬

Huh? Every time I've dealt with Kapow we've all been friendly. Heck I consider Andy a friend hes so good.
Also questioning prices from any retailer will normally get you that result, like the figure would normally be $25 BUT its not in ToysRUs yet, Its pretty hard to get and then import fees. Its just a sense of entitlement asking stuff like that.

Also Brexit happened so are money is trash.

Another South London shopping run with nothing to trouble the Newsbots about. No TR at all in five different Sainsbusrys over the course of the week - ones that normally do have toys too. Only Movie and RID remains, and not much of that either.

Someone on there Facebook said "too expensive, not for me" and got told to "take their moaning elsewhere" with kapows reply. They then pointed out how much effort it takes them and its not appreciated.

I pointed out that maybe instead of telling potential customers to get lost maybe they should take the feedback as a guage as to whether they should bother putting so much effort in to secure items that might not be attractive to their customers. You know, saving them all the effort they feel they dont get recognition for.

I got tagged in some reply that im guessing wasn't very nice because it was deleted before i could read it and im now banned from their Facebook. Great bit of customer engagement there

I should add that up until now i have never experienced anything but friendly service from kapow toys...i guess someone of Facebook was having a bad day

Clearly the market will support that sort of price point on an exclusive (just how exclusive it actually is remains to be played out, it's still brand new) but I won't. £50+ for a deluxe is where I jump off.

And I can understand others not being delighted about the prospect of the last three TR Figures amounting to £125 for three Deluxes and a couple of TMs. That's TRU Boxset silly money.

As long as the opinion is expressed in a reasonable way nobody should have a problem with it.
