So..in terms of worst we are GENERALLY talking about the most evil, most depraved, etc! Anyways..I'll get on to my top pick: Harold Attinger. I cant think of a movie human villain that's more depraved and evil than this guy. First of all, Harold carries a deep seething grudge against the transformers, I mean..his reasons are legitimate, but it gets worse when he's essentially hunting down transformers ruthlessly, with no remorse. I mean..the MAJORITY of the transformers are actually good people, he's gone far enough to let innocent people who he CLAIMS to represent humanity get killed. This guy is a complete xenophobe who's only real belief is that all transformers are bad, which means even the good ones get gutted despite helping them. Unlike the other movie villains, he is a depraved xenophobe perfectly willing to sacrifice innocent human lives, form alliances with bounty hunters to help him kill his own race, hunt the transformers to apparently near-exctinction, and then desecrate the dead by just happening to use their corpses for his own creations. The guy is probably the most detailed movie antagonist out of all..mostly because the other three major contendors are..kind of all dead and not well-detailed as much! Though, luckily, the fallen was expanded on..and so was Megatron.
You asked for worst but I guess you mean most evil antagonist as opposed to worst written and all. With that in mind, I agree Attinger was a really, really nasty piece of work.
If we're going for most evil and ruthless of the series, human wise, definitely Attinger. His "do whatever you have to do" memo doesn't faze one bit even when innocent people are killed. Transformer-wise, eh, it's hard because they're all pretty generic. Senintel had the most depth but it's that reason why he's not the most evil. It's honestly a tie between Megatron and Fallen. They're practically the same damn character, ambition-wise: kill humans because they're disgusting insects who don't deserve to live.
I dunno y'know, his punishment was well deserved, but his prior reasoning for his actions was fairly compelling!
1. Quintessa: wants to restore Cybertron by draining/destroying Unicron/Earth energon 2. The Fallen: activating the solar harvester would have drained our Sun, destroying life on Earth and other planets Basically these two were doing Unicrons job
I say Unicron because he's the only one to not have fallen victim to terrible writing/characterization (yet). Human-wise: Attinger. He was cold and merciless. I was actually impressed with a villain in this franchise when he showed up. Also Savoy was just following orders and Gould was a rich prick who's goal almost feels out of place with a person in his position, so it was no contest. And Kelsey Grammer is a damn good actor.
cool thread. hm...the fallen's plan would have been the most devastating... .thinking.. i mean, when you break it down far enough, i don't think any of the antagonists acted irrationally...i mean, MAYBE sentinel prime because he was still following a timeline that had evolved greatly during his stasis yet he still saw fit to turn on the autobots...idk i guess that his plan all along was to use the earth to revive cybertron so maybe he was just following through with the original plan? megatron certainly made it seem as such..although, they got rather unlucky (with both of them crashing inches from their target) & lucky with frenzy/the doctor & optimus reviving them respectively **side note** now that we know unicron is earth...was unicron 'defending' himself from megatron prior to the events of tf1? ** sentinel's betrayal also led to the events of post tf3 where the humans began to really turn on the transformers in general...cannot blame them..if it were real life & news broke that an autobot was responsible for the chicago massacre...people's tunes would change regarding the transformers rather quickly...and like joyce alluded to in aoe, most people would agree with what they (cemetery wind) were doing (killing transformers indiscriminately) remember now, just by watching the battles, autobots hands are not clean on civilian casualties neither...so it's not that far of a stretch to see why tessa & lucas are petrified of the truck being a potential transformer or that humans would build up a natural defense/skepticism towards them damn..they really had something with tf3 & tf4...touched upon lightly in tf5 but kinda gets forgotten after s. dakota (like many other aspects) megatron, the fallen, sentinel prime, quintessa-willing to kill a species/planet deemed inferior to preserve their own kind gould-protecting himself against an seemingly unbeatable foe attinger & savoy-protecting america & the world from dangerous aliens. their approach was a bit of a panic/overreaction but, again, you'd have to put yourselves in their shoes....they live in a world where giant-transforming aliens not only exist but can cause mass casualties/human extinction at any time (damn, almost sounds a bit like here!) lockdown-just a dude hired to do a job & look sexy in the process you also had other minor villains such as galloway, sector 7, & joyce, the two latter of which eventually turned good so aren't even worth discussing further in regards to this topic at hand..galloway... ..i mean, he probably smiled when prime's corpse was dropped from the helicopter...he was cowardly if nothing else, it was a total panic move turning on the autobots once prime was out of the picture...also he was involved in that dreadful parachute scene so, yeah, maybe this bastard! hm, for all the flack these film's stories get, they appear to be absent a 'bad just because' kind of villain...i am hard pressed to find a truly illogical monster amongst these choices... ..although id say the fallen willing to kill an entire damn solar system is a bit egotistical to say the least..although whose to say the primes destroying suns from other systems with 'no life' isn't just as frown worthy?...whose to say what constitutes as life?..oh boy...but then you get into well, 'if the transformers have the tech, then they have the right to dictate' natural order of things, etc. this just keeps getting more elaborate doesn't it?!
Unicron is Cybertron Enemy. With Unicron gone, The Cybertronians won’t have to worry about Unicron. Quintessa whole plan was for Cybertron to collide with Unicron so Cybertron can stay Alive and reform While Destroying Earth in the process
Yes but in that posts it says "Basically these two were doing Unicron's job".They were actually doing a favour for the Universe by killing Unicron not doing his job lol
eh Soundwave was kind of a dick in TF3 as well. but it was it Barricade who killed the "old man" (Queeljack)
