    That's a good point.
    Hadn't thought of that.
And i've noticed people in here who don't like to transform their toys.
G1 one steps might be interesting to them.
But still the one steps we have aren't exactly the most screen accurate?

No, I admit, they aren't. I think the larger 3-5 steps are the compromise there, to an extent.

It'd be nice to have the $10 range do a good job in quick change and screen accuracy. RiD actually does a decent job. The movieverse toys just have to work with bad designs to begin with, IMO, but there are some decent ones like Barricade, Megatron and Hound.

Still had the best part, Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock made him more memorable. Just my opinion, you saw Arcee in distraught when she learned he was killed at the mercy of Starscream, she was more distraught when she found out it was Starscream that killed Cliffjumper.

A character displaying emotions isn't the same as emotional impact. IMO, Arcee's angst was so goofy and her relationship with Cliffjumper so nonexistant before his death there was no impact to be found.

And The Rock's voice is so unremarkable he could've been played by anyone. In fact, he later was.

You do realize that the entire point of Cliffjumper was to kill off a character without actually killing off a major character, right?

His death is purely artificial since we don't know anything about Cliffjumper as an individual to make his death actually feel like a loss in the context of the show.

Bumblebee died near the end of the show, but yes he came back to life due to the cyber life pit. You have to admit that one was an emotional moment. Megatron's first death was "BEST DEATH EVAH" declared in TFP I'm sure.

Oh wo, Bumblebee died and came back in the same episode. Because he fell in the magic bullshit that was going to repair the laser anyway.

The only good thing about Megatron's death was that the worst Megatron in franchise history finally got offed. Seriously, he couldn't manage a single victory that lasted more than two episodes.

And then Predacons rising decided to nullify even THAT by making him an even more pathetic jobber who spent the entire film getting tortured.

I'm not put off by change, I judge every show by its own merits or faults.

See that, @AutobotAvalanche ? THAT is what contributing to a thread looks like. You should try it sometime.

Or failing that, at least giving the franchise to a new director and writing team that could potentially freshen things up with a new direction.

No. The movie franchise, story wise, is so impossibly bonkers that it's unsalvagable. All the big name Decepticons are dead (Megatron twice over but he won't stay dead), the designs are too humanoid, and the confidence in the mainstream movie going audience is dying as proven how TF5 couldn't even reach the numbers of the first film.

wh.. wh.. WHAT!? How about Bayformers Megatron, who has been someone else's bitch for every single movie after the first one?

Also, this comment section has strayed away from the subject matter, so I'd like to add something. Not only am I tired of Optimus Prime with a retractable faceplate, but I'm super tired of Bumblebee's yellow-with-black-stripes muscle car look. And seriously? Windblade again? I'm afraid that little kids and non-dedicated people aren't going to know that this is a different show from RiD. I'm still considering it a victory that it's 2-D animated (but hopefully not flash,) and the fact that Bumblebee has his horns, a mouth, and doesn't have a headlight chest. Assuming this is a new universe, hopefully his muteness is nowhere in existence.

Movie Megatron never actively sabotaged himself to the point he ever made Movie Starscream look like a better leader.

Honestly they need to redesign Windblade, her design can't be immutable at this point.

    \"New continuity\" \"Continues RiD 2015\".

.....I knew there was no reason to get my hopes up.

Can we just go back to Prime? You know, the last GOOD TF Show?

I think you mean TF Animated. Prime was the first Aligned show aka when the wheels started coming off the schoolbus.

First of all, Prime being good is debatable, on the same way cheetas being sea creatures is debatable.

Second, where does it say it's a RID continuation? We just know it features Bee, Optimus and Windblade, but EVERYTHING features those 3 now so there is no sign of it being a continuation.
