In hand I would say a lot of the issues people have highlighted on Meteor are total non issues. I do however wish the face colour was lighter for photographs, but the headsculpt and helmet shape, they're really nice. There are angles and moments I see Arrival from Cybertron Starscream in that Meteor headsculpt, and I don't always get that from MP-11. I did from the Hasbro Thundercracker, but the Takara ones less so due to colouring I think.

The main visual issue I have is the flat underside in jet mode at the rear, it's not very F-15-y in that spot.

    All the best

    Dude, this is fucking great!

As are these! You're making him look terrific here, Maz.

Whenever I've ordered from them it's always taken an age. 2-3 weeks average I reckon.

Love the look of the IF bots, but the overly tight joints terrify me. I've not been able to transform most of mine because I'm scared of breaking something.

I have decided to replace my MP-11 Takara seekers with Meteor. Coronation Starscream is being flung into the sales pile imminently.

I'd much rather have tight joints than the flop-fest we occasionally see on mainline stuff (I'm looking at you, TR Skullsmasher) - and to be honest, it's the first time on an IF release I've been properly thinking 'holy shit, have they glued this?' - as I say, there's not a lot of room to get your fingers in, and nothing immediately obvious as a tab you can use to lever it round - but besides that, it's a stellar bot - lovely little guns too... War Giant's going to look absolutely fucking stunning when complete - can't wait to see more IF combiners ( Stunticons next please!)

Still waiting on arsey, but this came. It's like being reunited with an old friend. Some stunningly beautiful art in there.

Conspicuous consumption/boasting about a haul shot:

    image.jpeg

    It's been a while.

As if all that ranting this morning needed illustrating this bundle just turned up in a Fail Van (not ParcelFarce) from AmiAmi with NO CUSTOMS. In 8 days. It had the full value declared on it and it didn't get stung.

Which is all to my good. Yay Di-Ah-Crone. Yay Jetfire's teeny-weeny Cousin.

But my single Hi-Metal VF1s (value £50.34) which must be in a box about a fourth the size of what this was in.......I still have to go pay the £18 ransom for.

HOW THE FUCK CAN ANYONE CALL THAT A SYSTEM?!!!!

Meanwhile my 11th Diabattles (yes, that's right, I've wasted well over a Grand and counting on Diabattles so far - wannafightaboutitbuddy?) is still having a holiday with Powered Suits C&D in Italy and no idea how I go about retrieving them.

Those I can grab to hand. Counted up again and it's 11 DB's safe in hand, it's the 12th that's adrift.

@motorthing - 11 Dia-Battles, pure respect. Nine for me on current count haha. I still have not got my Alpha Plus, suits C and D, second driver pack, Marine suits C and D. London trip will sort that I hope.

@banjoted Many kind thanks dude! Even before the Toyhax change in the earliest days of Reprolabels over a decade and a half ago, it took 2 to 4 weeks to get stuff from them.

    All the best

My resistance is crumbling, it looks good.

The flat underside sounds worrying though.

Can I resist an F15 fighter jet.....................Fighter jets/planes have always been top of the list, even over cars, dinosaurs & Spaceships.

Actually, I need a Spitfire Transformer, is there such a thing?

You can kiiiiinda see what I mean between the end of the main wing and the start of the smaller rear wings.

Well, the interview seemed to go okay. It was one of those horrible group things, which always seem utterly pointless. I should hear back in due course...

I passed a Trypticon on the way out - they don't have any out in the shop! One day he shall be mine.

I saw this yesterday and it is not off putting, I am trying to find reasons not to like.

Robot pics do look good, I think seeing the belly of the plane mode might be the deciding factor.

I don't think any MP incarnation has ever got the aircraft belly right, nor the undercarriage.

I've also had a few scary moments with overly tight joints on some of my figures, IF could do with tweaking the tolerances slightly during production.

    @Napalm,
Fantastic picture with the light shining through the doorway and nice use of the Iron Factory weapons!

TR Arcee = Not a figure I'll be getting as my iGear one still does the job nicely. That being said I think the TR Blurr mould works pretty well for the character.

Today's been a bit of a lull which I anticipated after making the initial steps forwards but I'm still feeling better. I can't get the past back, but I can do something about my future and even if it's not comparable with what most people my age have done, it'd be better than staying in the same position I've been in for years.

    @Toadimus Prime,
I went for a Christmas job at TRU a few years back and it was a similar kind of situation. I was offered a job but had found something better in the meantime so I didn't take it. Hope you get offered something!

MP 3 got close, but then it used the "fast pack" extra fuel nacelles configuration on the underside of the plane to achieve the smooth appearence. And those fast-packs turned into the long hip-scabbards that nobody liked much.

Meteor looks great as a Bot, less convinced by the Plane Alt and certainly don't like the rear view of the Bot (and I suspect the whole underside of the Alt mode) because of the hollowed-out wings and total lack of colour except flat grey. It's like two different products from front to back.
