I believe I may have figured out a way to effectively combine perfect effect ginrai with the super ginrai trailers weapons platform/battle station/combat deck mode folks basically he could ser as a kind of personal targetmaster weapons platform for the trailer base mode with the central sectin of the chest brace armor bits parts attaching to the side armor parts mounted to the sides and front and top of ginrais mack truck vehicle form folks

since the guns can plug into his feet in super ginrai mode I got to thinking wondering if perhaps it might be possible to salvage those 2 outer rotating armor parts from the chest panel armor of the trailer and just fill them in with epoxy glue /form fit them /permanently bond them onto the front of ginrais cab truck vehicle form

possibly if I go this route it would result in the entire front open panels of the truck being modded such that the central engine grill coverand the front cab window detail parts(the fold open chest bits ) would just be attachable to the trucks front bumper but otherwise removable part forming wise(the rotating rods that the front cab window chest parts rotate open on are kinda weak on mine , the right chest cover part kept popping off whenever I would go to rotate the trucks grill cover around to attach the godmaster figure to the front of the truck every time so I basically removed the rotating rod from that right chest panel covering left a bit of a nub for it to replug back into postion on properly and glued the entrie right chest panel covering to the left chest panel covering making it one whole chest piece but with the central engine grill covering stille able to rotate properly from engine grill cover to power master engine moutning block folks)

After thinking about it I might just get the TR Powermaster Optimus mold for Jinrai Prime to go with. I know it's not the same as having Jinrai Prime go with Legends Super Ginrai but still I don't think I want to invest a lot of money getting a more expensive version of the HasTak mold along with Godbomber and the other PC set in order to get a more accurate version of someone I don't have too much of a connection with. That may change in the future and I may go for Super Ginrai or Magnus Prime if I'm lucky after all but still.

BTW if I do decide to get just TR Powermaster Optimus do you still need the PC-15 set just to have the Powermaster gimmick in order to make the combined mode's chest more stable or can you do just fine with it? I know you can use the regular head with no problem.

frankly I took the perfect effect chest parts and permanently moutned them onto the front cab and roof of perfect effect ginrai's vehicle mode(gives him more of a armored mad max style battle truck sort of look that way

The Legends version of Super Ginrai is a great mold and all but it isn't worth the money that it sells for on the secondary market.

With that said, I HIGHLY recommend going with Magnus Prime from the Siege on Cybertron box set rather than TR Powermaster Optimus Prime.

Magnus Prime is the same mold as Legends Super Ginrai but with better paint apps. Plus, you can get it for the price of a standard Hasbro Leader Class figure. No reason to pay the same for a crappy figure like TR Powermaster Optimus Prime.

Just placed an order for the set on Amazon. :)  It'll take a while but I have a feeling that it'll be so worth the wait.

Huh, nothing seems perfect. HG would be a little small, and MG, especially articulated, would probably be a smidge large. Maybe a smaller MG, like a Victory or Wing?

Yeah, but one of the smaller 1/100s.

Those are for MGs more generally, so the average size mobile suit at 18 m, vs the smaller suits like Wing Gundam (16.3 m) or Victory (15.2 m). They'd probably run a bit big, while 1/144 hands would be a LITTLE small. I haven't personally checked, so I'm just gauging this off the PC-16 sitting in front of me, but a large handed HG (like a Kshatriya?) or a small handed MG (Like a Victory) would get closer.

I think I might bite the bullet and try the 1/144 hobbybase mechanical hands

Found a use for the Iron Factory FOC Grimlock shield and sword. This just works for Ginrai.

I'm soooo getting this. Still some of all 3 kits available, and I'm gonna get the God Ginrai, and since I have PC-17 and LOVE it this is something that will happen.

Just got mine. Sadly can't take photos at the moment tho.

As a standalone figure, he's pretty awesome. His plastic is just way too thin. Wasted opportunity by not making the Bot mode Titan Master compatible, Ginrai's Titanmaster has the perfect size.

Yea, plastics thin, but not without reason, had to keep weight down so figure doesn't topple in Super Ginrai/ Powermaster Prime modes, though a better window-door panel connection would have been nice. As for the titan master, I think the reasons they didn't do that was because people wanted a Powermaster rather than a headmaster, this head looks great and is hella poseable (and the poseability is one of his best parts, and titan masters aren't very good for necks, and are quite square), and as we have seen with other figures (AHEM Nitro Zeus), its a little off-putting when the TM connector is just off by a tiny bit and the head gets super wobbly. Personally, I think that what they are doing for PC-20 is a pretty solid idea, still incorporating the Titan Master in the helmet. However, I'm pretty sure if you give it time you will eventually find a multitude of Shapeways fixes for that.
