Does anybody knows if the back cover piece is going to be included in any of these ko's?

 

Thanks for all the replies! Much appreciated!!! I agree that the smart thing to do is wait for all of these Megatrons to be released and read some reviews...my impatience may prohibit that though!

According to tf-direct there are actually 3 Masterpiece scale KO Megatrons available for pre-order right now. The THF and IT ones clearly list the manufacturer. The third, which is the one I have on pre-order, does not (sorry can’t post links yet).

Being knew to this I’m not sure if it’s typical to see knock-offs like this w/o a manufacturer listed. As minstral stated above, should I assume this is a ‘generic’ Takara knock-off? I’m starting to lean towards the THF one since there’s enough info for it to look promising.

Also, does anyone feel strongly that the WeiJiang oversized MPP one would be more durable based on the MPP Optimus? That one’s enticing me as well but I’m not huge on that limiting my options for other figures that scale with it. Thanks again!

 

I got the G2 Mp Bee less than a week ago and I have to say: Its articulation puts Magnus to shame. Yes it cant open its fists (how hard was that to fix?) it has a couple hollow spaces that a 1$ price increase could fix, BUT that thing is an articulation wonder. Its also the best painted TT figure I own with 0 flaws.

You and I both. Magnus has his butt flap in the toon, admitedly a smaller one, but still......

Αs for quality....Well all I can say is that at least most of the time you get what you bargained for. Not like TT who is messing up their exclussives...I got a Clampdown and when I transformed it, it had Sideswipes head....Yeah....Cool....2000 pieces exclussive and all that.....

 

Purely speculative and based on one retailer's pictures but suggests Black Mamba version may not come with stock and silencer etc?? It's still prototype type pictures but why wouldn't you include stock and other accessories, especially to sway your customers away from THF

the silver diecast entices me.

 

Didn't really notice it till you pointed it out. Compared to THF pics it's the feet, thighs, biceps and the barrel swivel seen from his back. Should add some heft to it. I wonder if the MP36 mould really need this level of diecast to improve it, or is it just a facade to add weight and therefore QC perceptions. Anyone with a MP36 Takara care to chime in?

Fair game to IT if they're going for diecast in place of accessories to differentiate themselves

 

Pretty sure that is an unfinished prototype, hence unpainted die cast. At least that is my guess.

 

Without stock and silencer THF is the clear winner.

I hope it has the stock and silencer too.
The back cover is a big plus, but without the stock and silencer i might as well have bought Despotron or Mightron on sale.

 

Well..at least I didn't know about it.  
I guess we can discuss all day about these,but until sombody gets a hold of them, and post an honest review,its just a waiting game.

Has anyone got any photos of the KO MP36? TF Direct had a few and the face looked kind of different....the forehead was larger and the eyebrows didn't join to make a scowl ...just looked sort of confused.

Black Mamba? So there's yet another KO? That makes 4 or 5 now. Looks like there's now unibrow like the straight up Takara KO. Maybe this is just an early test shot.
