Both Hasbro and Takara will probably make a Fangry out of this, too, someday, but in this case I can't see Takara just skipping out not only the original molding for Grotusque but also on the new original Titan Master head and Beast Former homage that Grotusque received.

Yeah, I think this might be right. Takara is a little low on Legends inventory for their next few solicitations. One would assume, if they did them, things like Fire Guts Ginrai would be exclusives and not standard Legends releases. Takara tends towards only releasing a unique mold once, so the new toolings would be Grotesque, the Arcee and Nautica toolings on Blurr, any other unreleased toolings of which we are unaware, and the upcoming legends and leaders in PotP, right?

I’m not sure I would count Nautica as a unique tooling since the turbines aren’t actually part of the mold. If you include Nautica then I’d say metalhawk would be fair game since he’s originally a takara character and I could see them packaging him with the power of the primes pretender shell

Yeah, that's fair. Same basic point, though, that there are few deluxe/voyager toolings left for Takara unless they start looking at significantly older molds or do more repainting than they have in the past or take a different tack with UW than they did last time

Personally I don’t know that every potp release will be combiner sets, abominus yes, predaking yes, dinobots yes, but considering we still don’t have full teams for Elita one or inferno so I could see them keeping some combiner compatible figures as singles (not too out of the question considering the combiner compatible legends were released in an entirely different line)

I don’t know... they may make their own teams. Grand Galvatron came out... grand.

Very true. It’ll be interesting to see what takara does for sure. Grand galvatron did turn out pretty awesome, but isn’t he also the only one that takara did that with? I mean defensor and bruticus and computron has takara original tooling, but grand galvatron was the only one with a takara created team wasn’t he?

I look forward to mixing and matching. If TT doesn’t disappoint, we could have Darkwing, Dreadwind, Buster, and Hydra part of the same combiner. They may even do something totally different for Starscream.

I fully expect buster and hydra for them, they’re part of why I hope takara doesn’t commit fully to all deluxes and voyagers in combiner boxsets, I’ve got no interest in starscream but would definitely get a buster/hydra two pack

Since they combine with one another, I could totally see a Buster/Hydra two-pack (could be branded UW or Legends). UW did really well for Takara, so I am beyond certain Takara will put Jazz and Inferno w/the other unused CW toolings (maybe give Bluestreak/Smokescreen a proper hood). We'll see about the rest

Why do you care again? This isn't the first time there's been a mad rush to get a figure and it won't be the last. Nothing anyone can do about it, it's the nature of the hobby.

Man, assuming we get the Seacons, we're just gonna be some Headmaster Jrs away from getting the main Destron cast of Masterforce. Even then, we technically will have their human components... (except Wilder... so far...)

I still hope we get Squeezeplay with a Repugnus retool. Grotusque and Doublecross want their buddy to grow up..

It’s amazing how quickly the Japanese exclusive dive casts have been filled out by titans return/legends alone

I don't appreciate you snarky responses.

If you don't like my posts, please by all means tap that ignore button.

I'm just trying to be helpful. I see alot of boardmembers stressing over this and I just want my fellow collectors to know there's probably going to be an alternative because not everyone here is going to get what they want the 2nd or 3rd time around.

I think the only reason we wouldn't see Fangry/Wilder soon from Grotusque would be if there is a specific plan in place for Titans Return 2: Titans Reloaded with, among others, the junior/small Headmasters being headliners

Right, and I was being helpful by giving everyone a viable alternative by posting the Robot Kingdom listing.
Chill dude, no one being "snarky" :lol , you just don't know me that well. I've been on here for over 10 years most people know my twisted sense of humor :lol  Sorry if it seemed that way.

Given all of the Headmaster and Targetmaster '87-'88 characters who did not get their Generations update yet, I think it's pretty clear that a second round for Titans Return must have been saved for down the road.

The Starscream and Thrust heads for GG were created by Hasbro. Starscream's was on the back of every pack-in comic from the line and no one realized it was him until GG was revealed. The Conehead..head, was designed to serve as a G1 Conehead, but was obviously applied Armada Thrust. Hasbro made a bunch of heads for CW that went unused.

I'd like them to use the Brawl head for Rook back when Brawl was going to be a retool of him. Brawl being shorter compared to Swindle is somewhat disconcerting.

Right, but my point was that TT can still make their own teams. We don’t know what alternate heads are out there yet. They could turn Jazz into GF Autovolt/Crosswise for all we know. Or maybe Hasbro will only will get E1, Firestar, and Moonracer, but TT will add RID Strongarm from Off-road and TFP Arcee from Groove to get a complete combiner. It’s way too early to tell, but fun to speculate.
