I forgot, you were there when I opened it and it literally fell to bits. Mine was fucking awful so why would I lie? What would it possibly gain me? Funny thing is I'm not the only one either. Plenty of ppl had shitty experiences with it. That all hyperbole too?

    Rolling eyes indeed.

As to what I would recommend? Probably wait for Takara, you know the articulation will be insane and it'll have some kind of magic in the transformation.

    There's your answer OP.

All other options, even future 3P ones are non existent.

    Wait for the king.

There was a time when I would have but I don't like the 100% Sunbow look. Good toys still, but not for me.

It almost sounds like I should buy another BC!

Ok. So because it didn't happen to you it's hyperbole?

That's kinda sad man but if it makes you feel better then more power to you, doesn't change my experience.

BadCube really captures the character DSC_5276.jpg for me.

XTB (for now). Sold off my MMC in favor of it.

MMC - zero issues on my copy, most cartoon accurate face sculpt, only version to have a cartoon accurate shoulder cannon, best size
    XTB - too big
BC - looks off, especially his legs
TT - I don't wait for them to release a character first anymore
    FT - too late

Out of the options available for an MP Trailbreaker right now, I'd go with XTB. No parts-forming. Great aesthetics in both robot and truck modes. Very good design overall. Has a rear bumper giving it a more finished look, too. The only issues with it are the shoulders (just be careful articulating them), head clearance (just be careful, that's all), and the small hands. I don't have a problem with any of these. Hands look small because of his boxy forearms. For me, this is still the best option that is out right now.

If you are willing to wait a bit, FansToys will be releasing their MP Trailbreaker in the very near future. I'd wait (I am) to see how that compares before making a final decision. But that's just me. :)

I bought whichever one was on sale at TF Source recently. :D  I believe it was the Badcube version. I like it okay, but there is a particular frustrating element (the side runners that need to fold into the camper / backpack were EXTREMELY frustrating... as is par for the course with Badcube) that would keep me from regularly transforming the thing. Same for their Hoist, actually... altho' in his case, I think it was something about the legs that were particularly galling.

It was definitely a "good enough" thing for me; I'm not a super heavy duty Masterpiece collector and tend just to get stuff when it's on sale or whatever, as I don't think most Masterpiece-style toys are generally a good value for money. I don't think I even have a real G1 Trailbreaker, so he was someone who was underrepresented in my collection, and for like 60-ish bucks, I went for it.

I like the BC one best. It just "feels" like Trailbreaker to me, even if it's not 100% G1 accurate. Everytime I look at him on my shelf, I just see the character so no regrets here.

Same here. I think it’s the big ole barrel chest that just feels right for the character. Also can’t beat the awesome headsculpt with the face painted a nice gunmetal to contrast the helmet a little.

What's wrong with MMC? I have it and don't have any issues.

TheChosenPrime's YouTube channel has vids where they frequently do comparisons of other companies' renditions of the same character in each mode when a newer bot comes out. Their vid for xtb's trailbreaker even has the three available versions as the thumbnail.

Here's a link of search results where you can see multiple thumbnails as comparison pics for different releases of the same character: chosen prime trailbreaker - YouTube

I just want a Trailbreaker that goes well with my TT Sideswipe and Sunstreaker like in MTMTE. An official would be great, but isn't necessary.
