I can understand and respect that preference. There's a certain cool flavor to having OP be the same size as his soldiers most of the time (See Deluxe-class OP figures from Armada, Energon, or TFP).

Speaking personally, I prefer that the "normal" version of OP should be bigger than the rank-and-file Autobots (see OP in G1 animation, or TFP First Edition figure) and that any augmented "super" mode would help him overcome a huge problem, like a combiner or something. I think that's why I'm looking forward to Fans Hobby's Power Baser. This cab portion is 1:1 scale with MP-10.

I agree he should be bigger than the normal guys...thats still exactly what im asking for...i personally like optimus to be roughly voyager in scale. Bigger in armored up modes. A 7 to 8 inch normal figure and a 10 inch super mode is about right. His normal mode was smaller than megatron so his super mode makes up for that. But if we start him as a 10 or 11 inch figure THEN armor up bigger he gets too gigantic

Sorry, I don't have a ruler nearby. You think MP-10 is too tall at 9.5", then?
Are you saying this figure should be more CHUG-scaled, like their Cross Dimension line?

MP-10 and this figure do not repsresent the same character incarnation. MP-10 is based on the G1 show and this will be based on Galaxy Force/ Cybertron. Base form Optimus should be smaller than Starscream and Megatron because that's what it was like in the show. Even then, Optimus in his base form was bigger than most of the Autobot soldiers in Galaxy Force.

Thats exactly what im saying. The normal robot should be voyager and the armor up mode should give him height to match starscream and megatron as he did in the show

My first post did say something to the effect of "not everything needs to be mp scale"

Exactly...someone a few pages back had meteor next to mmc's idw rodimus. That's a good height for the base prime. The add on boots to armor him up put him the same size as meteor which is a good transition. The base prime would be taller than most and smaller than megatron which is accurate

Okay, good to know. I didn't watch the show.
Sounds very TF:Animated then -- where OP was only Decepticon-sized at the very end when he got his super-wings.

That's not actually true, Base Prime it's bigger than starscream, yet smaller than megs, the Super Mode roughly increases his height to be in the same size as megatron.
So the base prime should be the same size as MP-10 or even bigger.

Notice how in the first scale chart, Base Optimus comes to the red line, in the 2nd chart, starscream it's smaller than that line.

    -Official scale form Galaxy Force.

Didn't remember that. It's been a long time since I've watched the show. If Maketoys goes by this scale, base OP will be might be around 2 inches taller that SS head to head. Megs and Powered OP will be an inch taller.

I don't know anymore, just release them.

But if the megatron is the same height as this starscream this optimus should still be smaller.

Mp 10 for the base mode is too big especially if this line isnt mp scaled mp 10 for the armored up mode works fine by me

We don't know yet, but i wouldn't have problem with that.

Yeah, but with "mp-10", i meant an average of what he would be, but we don't know yet.

As long as megatron it's bigger than base prime i'm fine.

I agree...starscream and megatron the same size im good with.

Im just tired of the mp scale. This thing doesn't need to be gigantic. Not everything needs to be mp. I just wish when they released the image they put in basic things like height...

...but why would they do that, since Starscream is supposed to be much shorter than Megatron?

we don't even know what they'll do....frankly this starscream is probably too big. a few comparison shots have him as big as the original cybertron prime. this thing shouldn't be bigger than it's original toy that figure is big enough.

admittedly this is a personal want for me since i'm tired of everything being MP. i'd like to add some toys to my chug collection without them looking massively out of place to appease the size queens in our fandom that want voyager bumblebees and MP everything.

I get being tired of MP, but this figure was announced as part of MakeToys MP line, so you're probably going to wind up disappointed.

Call me foolish, but I think Maketoys should add some Cybertron (or Unicron Trilogy) characters to their citybot series, like Metroplex, Menasor, and Quickmix. Call them city builder bots. Hell add Starscream's giant form with the arm cannon and crown.

Why would you say their Starcsream is too big when he's perfectly sized for exactly what they aimed him to be - Masterpiece Galaxy Force Starscream. You can't just toss aside the intention of the toy as a failure to meet criteria it wasn't aiming for. It wasn't some stand alone project for MT, clearly it was their starting point for their Masterpiece Galaxy Force toys. That is what they are making. Their Optimus and Megatron will certainly be scaled according to Galaxy Meteor, as they darn well should be.

Galaxy in particular being one of the single coolest toys I now own and a huge aspect of why he is so fun is because he is an mp. You always get certain advancements, features and design elements made possible when you aim for mp scale over smaller scale and with hasbro dominating the deluxe market its no surprise that non-big figures have become so rare in the 3p market.
