June isn't too bad. I just picked up Swoop, the Coneheads and the Seekers. It looks like DX9 might just release everything in the War in Pocket line that released pre-orders for.

 

Can't wait for the rest to drop. Super nice little set. Alt modes are da bomb

 

Where do you store the sword in dino mode? I prefer not to have loose parts laying around.. I'm spoiled by modern Transformers.

 

This is a bit of a source of angst for me as well. Unfortunately there is nowhere to store the sword that I know of.

I greatly regret getting the DX9 WiP Dinobots...it opened the flood gates to a world I managed to resist for a long time. 

Seriously though, they're great figures...even if Slag and Sludge a bitch to transform.

I use one of the official mp flight stands for swoops dino mode, so I just stick them to the base of that with a tiny blob of blue tac/sticky tac.
Keeps them neat, secure and out of the way but to hand if i want to have them in bot mode. There's just enough space for all 5 weapon sets.

Can the DX9 Richthofen flightstand be used for Skyer?

 

You can get him to balance on it but he doesn't have a dedicated port for it.

Am I right in thinking that broken knees are endemic on this guy? From what some have said, it doesn't seem to be the end of the world though: how does that work exactly? I notice there are loads of chinese ebay sellers offering him too, any idea whether they're knock offs?

This arrived today... The box was taped but the tray cover is missing. Someone tried to tape plastic film over the tray but that served no purpose. The accessories where still loose and rattling against the figure.

It's the holiday season so I was tempted to get something fancy. I was looking at Cesium, Wei Jiang, and a bunch of other stuff. I decided to stick with my current focus and the first pick was Skyer. I wanted to make sure I got a copy of this figure. Gotta say this looks dissappointing.

 

Why does it looks disappointing to you?
It's not a tiny FT Swoop, it's just a fun toy to fiddle with.
I ordered it and was pretty happy with it. I actually bought all 5 after that and bought MFT Swoop yesterday. Cant have enough Dinobots.

 

This isn't my first DX9 Dinobot. I was impressed with how the previous figures securely fit between two trays. It felt like the figure got to me exactly how it left the factory. This figure just has the back tray and part of a comic bag taped over it. the figure and accessories flop around.




It's disappointing to me based on other figures in the same group. I checked back through the thread and didn't see any mention of this. I just saw pictures that included complete two sided trays.

 

Yeah, mine didn’t come like that...either of mine in fact as I double-dipped. Both had the secure dual trays. Where did you get him from?

 

A domestic dealer. I think they would have sold it accordingly if they knew the packaging was incomplete. I've emailed them.

 

Looks like you got one that's been opened and repackaged.

 

Ok, I've been checking out the figure that had the packaging issues. Half the head comes off if you bump the fin the right way. Does that happen to anyone else?

Other than that of course there's paint wear from stuff rattling around.
