Me @ myself: You have so many character designs and comics you need to be working on, you have all these unfinished sketches, don't just draw Dinobot again!!!!!! Also me:
Went ahead and spontaneously decided to design a Botanica, trying not to focus too much on anything other than whatever random design aspects i wanted to add to her! And she turned out...really fun. Her actual appearance varies a lot, though- since she tends to grow and re-grow her body very quickly to adapt to whatever situation she's in, or to better move about her environment. So...
That Botanica is absolutely amazing. I really like the cherry-blossom-esque leaves against the various shades of green and brown
I was fortunate enough to get some early-access sneak peeks at upcoming BNW pages so I've been sitting on this fanart for a while, waiting for the actual comic to go up so I could post it already! Listen, Songbird is. A pretty design. I will not be stopped.
love your art style, the designs on your bots remind me allot of transtech and beast machines, because of the fluid look of the bot modes btw, do you use a tablet to draw these, and how did you animate some of them, is that something photoshop can do ??
Thank you all so much! My actual basis in art is wildlife drawing and cartoons so for me, fluid and organic-looking is kinda my go-to. Which makes it. real interesting to be learning how to draw robots. Yep, I use my trustworthy (if...starting to get older) Bamboo Create tablet, and I've used both Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint to animate- both of them have pretty simple animation frame-by-frame stuff. I'm still learning, though, and ideally I'll get better at animation the more I practice.
