I've found that if you put Blitzwing's feet at a rather extreme angle, you can use their molding to help move the joint mechanism around. As far as the legs tabbing together, ya I had to shave some off the tabs so that they'd go into the slots better.

I can do that on one of the feet but the other will not budge using that method. I lubed it up also to no effect. Had to use a crescent wrench so I could get a nice tight grip. It's the only real issue I've had with any of my IF figures, if you don't count their sheer addictiveness.

Got my set of attackers today - really like the face sculpts. Some stress marks here and there and really tight clearances that leave sore fingers, but Im still excited to see the rest!

The only thing that is too tight for me are the combiner joints.. and I don't think you're supposed to use your fingers... I think you're supposed to connect to Onslaught and then use him for leverage to rotate them out.

I guess also Brawl's head... how the fuck are you supposed to rotate it 180 for vehicle/leg mode..

In my experience, "clearance" and "tolerance" just aren't words used very much over at Iron Factory's design studio.

I had to do some light sanding on the tabs that connect his lower legs in ship mode in order to get them to go together, but have had no other issues there.

I found that the tabs that connect his lower legs are stacked one on top of the other, so if you tab the leg with the lower tab of the stack into his crotch first, the other leg is easy to snap into place enough until his forearms get wedged in at the hip to further lock the legs in.

I hate the mushroom pegs that his ankle joints are on. They are way too tight, making it difficult to turn the ankle and position the foot for various modes, and impossible to remove and sand down.

I used some pliers to grip the ankle joint on the straight part of its J shape, and repeatedly rotated it back and forth for a couple minutes in order to wear down the mushroom parts, but it only improved one leg. I need to do it more to the other and it should work well.

His feet have popped off their balls so many times from trying to rotate the ankles that they're now pretty loose. Thankfully that's an easy fix with some floor polish.

After fixing his tolerance issues, Blitzwing's become one of my favorite legends guys that I have. I like all three of his modes, but his robot mode is just awesome. It's got a lot of character, and plenty of articulation that allows all kinds of poses.

    **bangs imaginary pot**

Mini-bot-brothers; quick question. Is this how the bazooka is supposed to set on top of Swindle's alt. mode? The back peg on the adapter there is so high that it doesn't let the peg on the bazooka tab in well. Between that and the guns sticking out so far on Brawl's alt. mode these attachments don't seem very well thought out.

got mine in yesterday - there is no way in hell Brawl's head is going to turn around, but it doesn't really matter to me as it's not showing in alt mode - yeah, you can still see it in combined mode, but that's a non-issue for me as I tend to display bots facing forwards.. besides that, it's a super sexy little set, completely agree with @Kuma Style - the bazooka peg's in a bit of an odd place, but that's probably been a minor sacrifice so the combined gun is better proportioned (at least I hope it is!)

now where the hell are the rest?!

I can't read any of that, but I know enough to say that I wish all product shots were done with such explicit eye-porn as these.
Yes and yes. 5mm weapons on legends class dudes that should be using 3mm weapons and you end up with huge weapons and shallow weapon ports.

It's only a problem with Iron Factory's guys because they're the only ones that drop their figures in a bucket of weapon ports before releasing them. Everyone else is far more sensible in their approach.

Wow, a chance to post something helpful for the Great and Powerful Kuma!

So Swindle comes with a little rack that plugs into his roof in alt mode; you don't have it installed in the picture you posted. The weapon won't fit right without that installed. It's black and so a bit hard to see in the packaging.

Thanks but the rack is installed in that pic. I referred to it as the adapter in the post. Looking at tge pics from Cheem I guess it's just how it's supposed to be so I'm going to shave it down.

Before you do that... I'd wait and see what all parts integrate into the kibble vehicle.

Swindle's rack has some extra pegs on it that aren't used by Swindle... makes me wonder....

Typical. I get a chance to help out and I blow it. I was looking at your post on my phone and with the small frame I couldn't see the rack, as it was in the gun's shadow. So yeah, if the rack is on then that's just how it fits; it's not really very ideal.

BTW, love your photos, even if they just remind me that I'm not getting as much out of my toys as some people!

I have the bazooka on the roof rack attached by slotting one of the back rectangular tabs into the rearmost 5mm hole on the underside of the bazooka. Sticks out a bit more in the front than other versions, but the handle doesn't get in the way if you fold it, and it stays flush. Reminds me of Animated Swindle, which works well since Bazooka Hound's vehicle mode is similar.

Liking this set so far - I think mini-sized combiners are much easier to manage in terms of weight distribution and joint tolerances. I didn't know the bazooka came apart, I may try incorporating the other gun into a vehicle mode weapon in that case.

I'll have all but Manacle whenever I ship out my Brawl and Swindle.
Overlord's tank is a little on the small side but it is just his legs.
