Well I opened this guy up to see if there was a way to replace/remove the chest plate, as it turns out there is no way to remove it without breaking it all together. So I might have to get a replacement figure all together

question

have you considered simply glueing both smokestacks permanently into place in their original position for vehicle mode?

the idea being to somehow mod the bottom end of each smokestack (the end with the far too tight c clip attachment molded into the smokestack itself)

say for example by salvaging a set of missile sprues from classics triple changer springer (minus the actual missile sprue itself

then simply flatten the remaining area where the missiles sprue was originally molded to , then epoxy glue into place on the bottom of the rotating end of perfect effect ginrai primes smokestacks.

the idea being that with this simple mod the smoke stakc would have a exaust stack on both top and bottom and in the proper position for vehicle mode and super ginrai/god jinrai mode regardless of how you transform ginrai prime between modes




the missiles look like they would serve as good smokestack exhaust ports if properly modified I have already compared them to the width of perfect effect ginrais smokestacks and they are the perfect size by the way

 

That’s not a bad idea, I’ll gonna wait to do anything until I get a message back from Ages Three and Up tomorrow, and if I they are no help I’m going to start trying some of the things that you all have suggested for me

The different shade of blue is driving me nuts.....

 

It's a minor annoyance because the kit itself is clearly intended for Legends Magnus (similar whites, blues, painted wheels), yet PE made the concession to color part of the chest for CW, rather than do a dedicated kit for CW.

Still, it gives me the transforming cab no one else offers for this Magnus/Prime as of yet, so better than nothing. I can deal with that.

 

Magnus didn't need his rifle anyway  

 

Got my PC-16 from BBTS on Saturday. Even though I knew how fragile they were and I was being careful, I still managed to break a smoke stack off. This is why I prefer to leave 3rd party figures on the shelf and only play around with Hasbro and Takara figures. This guy was so cool I couldn't help myself. It's really a bummer they used cheap plastic. Hopefully this helps talk me out of buying all three versions of this guy.

 

I feel quite fortunate that I’m not after the God Bomber; so far I’ve yet to break my smokestacks. But I also know not to try moving them either.

But yeah- this is fragile (must be Italian). Handle with TLC.

 

Maybe YOU can, but can Magnus deal with that now?

have you considered epogy gluing the stacks back onto the normal robot mode chest in their proper position then just modding the bottom of the stacks to be double ended exaust ports?

that way no matter how you transform the guy no matter what position they be in the smokestacks exhaust ports will always bein the proper position for vehicle robot or super ginrai mode
