It seems that the Sainsburys toy sale starts on Wednesday this week.

It's weird because at the time I thought he was complementing me on an article where he had been enabled, but later on I think I felt what he meant was that he bought something on me saying it was good but he hated it or something?

    All the best

    Tru dat.
I had a feeling with the Silverbolt engineer and the flair at his "boot tops" that was how they'd solve the dilemma of the horned chest crest, TF engineering guess vindicated, go me!

Yeah, I actually really liked Milne's design and it's influence on GTC initially but over time I've had a bit of a aesthetic shift and I think I'm on the outs with that aesthetic.
CW's just taken his place on the shelf (for the time being)

Granted I can't claim objectivity here either but how much you like Toyhax depends on how much detail or indeed which details you want on your TF, how much Toon or Toy look you want, so, yeah, they're great for putting the proper sponsors/full rally car detailing on MP Smokescreen if you want it but not everybody does. And they don't always hit the mark with their designs, for instance I was totally keyed up for the Gen. Springer set because I was totally up for adding some G1 details to him and, boy, was that not the direction they went for with that set. Urk! Not for me, I'm afraid.
Honestly I think at least 50% of Toyhax status and folk being mad for 'em, if not more, is the customer service they provide which is usually top notch, and the only reason I'm willing to give 'em the full waiting out period to replace my clearly Lost In Postal Space last order.

I think the only equal or possibly superior faction logos might be Eness/Ocean design but some of those are water slide and I'm not sure if they do adhesive symbols, so for the quality improvement the application skills required sorta go up.

Now you say that but to me the CW bod looks less hench than the Gen. version thusly closer to tubby than Mr. Ben Workingout, oh, and it's my shelf. ;)

It was just you instinctively correcting Tigertracks to Tigertrack that had me beaming.

Not yet. I’ve stayed away from the Titans Class thus far due to space and the wrath of her indoors....

Maybe if he ends up sub £100.

    Maybe....

    Hey all,

I took part in a very fun toy photography and graphic design collaboration with a friend to create some fun 80s-themed, synthwave-drenched Transformers images, and we would love to know if anyone would be potentially interested in buying prints of the image below or others like it?

Many kind thanks in advance for any feedback or interest :)

I think Reprolabels (I'm old fashioned! Sue me!) have their place, they've totally saved my G1 collection and some of their CHUG labels looked really good to me back when I was collecting that line. But totally agree with you when it comes to MPs. For some reason that line just doesn't look right to me with stickers. The sets are nice if that's your sort of thing and they can definitely help them look more like the original toy that they're homaging. But I don't know, maybe the sets are a bit...busy sometimes? Obviously, whatever floats your boat! It's all good! But stickers on MPs? Not for me. At least if I can avoid it. I don't know, maybe Takara could share some of the blame for not tampoing their toys up enough in the first place?

Their set for TR Quake finished him nicely. What they did for that set was a rare reversion to their old approach of adding the G1 detailing in a fitting way. That was what I always liked about reprolabels. There was still plenty of stuff I didn’t use because it was made up, mind.

The Combiner Wars Wheeljack set was utterly magical in what it did to that toy and I wish they’d do more of that.

A lot of what they do now goes in a different direction with a focus on creating their own details that don’t always suit the intended figures. There’s room for that, they are creative folks and each to their own but I wish they’d offer the option of more traditional sets for those who want that option.

    I just pick and choose.

As soon as they officially revealed it, you could see the shield detail on the side of the beast mode neck and I knew. I cannot wait to see the actual toy fully combined up. Hopefully it can match up to that drawing.

I use Toyhax for faction symbols, yeah. I know there are alternatives out there but I've always been happy with them. Some folk like those dry rub transfers which finish like a factory tampo (as opposed to a sticker) but I don't trust myself not to fuck it up.

    Very much so!
Best approach to toyhax! Some of them feel a bit like overkill, like those for mp hot rod, but most are real gems! The kits for gen springer and warbot revolver are personal favs!

Can't see a massive incentive to get taks here, the headsculpts look fine. Maybe a bit of silvered detail here and there tampos etc rather than stickers-labels etc. Hasbro looks cool so far with these mega dickheads
