Animated's art style was more akin to the original Teen Titans. This one looks more like Teen Titans Go, which is never a good thing.

I mean, Yeah, these designs are somewhat more simplified, but not anywhere near the same degree as TTG. Plus, they lack that show's absurd proportions.

You are horribly wrong. TFA looks more like Teen Titans Go than this does under the mere grounds that Derrick Wyatt puts various Hanna Barbera stylings in his art, down to the french-fry fingers, which TeenTitans Go ALSO does because it's based on Teen Titans and has character design done by Chris Battle, a veteran from 90s and modern HB productions such as Dexter's Lab.

Cyberverse art resembles NOTHING of Teen Titans Go, the closest show to it aesthetic-wise is Justice League Action.

Yeah, pretty much TTG's defining art style trait is big-head cartoonisms. Nothing like this or TFA or anything. (don't remember the original TT Beast Boy having absurd gremlin ears for one)

The Goblin ears on the TTG Beast Boy seem to be taken from his big ears in the original Teen Titans Go! DC Nation shorts, which Derrick Wyatt did work on.

Chris Battle's redesigns are basically these but streamlined for 22 minute puppet-rig animation instead of hand-drawn 1 minute shorts.

Ugh. My excitement is waning. Windblade and Bumbles best friends 4evah + soap opera amnesia for an entire origin story? Yikes. This feels hackey.

I'm not writing it off just yet, but they'll have to be SPECTACULAR at story telling to pull off a good series starting with this concept.

Amazing how much more character the first image has compared to the second one.

I still personally think that Animated shares visual cues with the original Teen Titans, though it's probably more akin to the original Ben 10.

My mention of Teen Titans Go is for the simplification of the designs. While not as drastic of a change, it is definitely a change, especially when looking at Optimus. Also, the overall face designs are very similar, especially the mouths. It does look a lot like Justice League Action now that you mention it though.

Also, Cyberverse seems to utilize the flash animation, which is also what TTG uses.

Still, in my opinion, TFA looks like Teen Titans and Cyberverse looks like TTG.

I'm sure it's been pointed out before, but despite the hallmark of the IP, Transformers fans seem exceedingly resistant to change. There are many versions of the Transformers I dislike, which include but are not limited to, in no particular order, Beast Machines, Beast Wars, the Unicron Trilogy, Kiss Players and Car Robots/RID 2001. However, even if all a series did was keep the line relevant, it's at least something. I'd argue that, as much as I hate it, the Unicron Trilogy made it possible for TF:A to exist, and all other things after.

If you ask me, we should just let the damn thing come out before we crucify it with screams of disgust over Bumblebee and Windblade and amnesia and why all of it is akin to finding maggots in our cheeseburgers.

That being said, for those battling over what TF:A's design cues are, it's 2000AD's ABC Warriors, TMS Entertainment's Mighty Orbots, and Studio Gainax (probably
mostly Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann). This fact is referenced in the TF:A Almanacs as well as various other sources. Specifically, look at Crunch:

The ABC Warriors are likely the place where the big chins and eye designs come from:

Note Mongrol in the back there with the star on his head, as well as Joe Pineapples (guy on the right with the "Prowl shades").

Finally, studio Gainax, and whatever this thing is from Gurren (I never watched it because to me, Anime ended in 1997).

In addition, if you've ever see some of Gainax's more recent commercial offerings, such as RE: Cutey Honey, you'll see that the animation style tends to lean to a more stylized anime type, but with substantially lower frame rates to keep up with US Production schedules.

TFA does share cues with TEEN TITANS, but is ALSO shares cues with TTG, simply because both are made by artists influenced by classic Hanna Barbera. Neither are similar to the art we've seen of Cyberverse. Sorry, I know there's opinions and such but comparisons like this can be done objectively and when you compare the lines of the pictures the connection is just not there beyond a very vague "modern action cartoon" backbone.

Also you, we even, we don't know what animation Cyberverse utilizes. RID's first picture was a vector flash drawing but the actual show was cel-shaded CGI, Prime's first picture was a 2d-drawing but it was 3D CGI, TFA's first picture was a vectorized flash drawing and the show was hand-drawn. You do not know if Cyberverse is flash, and the art in this picture gives no indication of such since the designs don't seem streamlined for puppet animation like TTG.

Action cartoons are practically extinct now, but I do see your point. Your second point is also valid, and we can't really talk about the animation style until the trailer hits.

Let's just let this conversation die, okay?

Looking at Boulder Media's website (link) and yes, they use Flash. The positive, most of it is nice to look at.

I really don't care, I just want to enjoy myself.

It's OK Dan! Well, we still have to wait for the trailer, but good to see Bee being the main character again.
