I finally had a chance to review Spindrift on my blog, here are a few of the photos.

 

The stubbier transformation would have a cross-shaped codpiece/crotchpiece hanging down to his knees. Ohhhhh myyyyyyy.

 

Is he worth getting?

 

It's a solid, well built little robot who can store his accessories in both modes. If you like how he looks, there's nothing physically wrong with him that should stop you from getting one... my harshest criticisms are that his ankles could have used some forward tilt so those huge feet could get into crazier poses and locking in the white panels in vehicle mode is annoying the first few times you do it.

Where does that cross piece fit in alt mode and modified bot mode? If it's non-essential, it could just be removed since it's on a pin.

He is small. I'm not sure he fits in well. I got him for $50 on eBay. He is quality built (even though one of my propellers broke). Transformation is odd, to me, goofy. Non-intuitive.

Those are all my quibbles.

I'd wait if you are on the fence and see what the others may look like first.

Got a request for someone that has this and tr spray. How does the removable gut from the Hasbro figure look placed on Spindrift? I know it won't peg but I just wanna see how if it looks acceptable and I'll worry about connection later. I have a sneaky feeling it'll look pretty good.

I was thinking of when he was mentioned in Transformers Prime and wondered what he would look like with his fellow Wreckers.

 

I don't like his diet, otherwise I would have jumped in already.
