Looks like the Dinobots have been KO'd from a long time ago. What 20 years ago? Must be old molds by now. Really wish whoever is knocking off the Masterpieces. Would redo the molds on the G1 Dinobots using mint original examples. Don't know how they do it today, but I'm guessing they use 3D laser imaging of all of the parts, to get a digital piece in the computer? Clean it up, then make molds from that?

 

I have heard that they have fixed issues with the KO Dinobots compared to the older KO's.

Is there any truth to that? And how can you tell?

I've been wanting to get some KO Dinobots, including the Red Swoop with the Gold Feet. I did get one several years ago, but the chrome was terrible on the wings like some of the chrome had chipped off or there was contamination before the chroming.

 

I suspect that you'll get the individual bots pictured. The official images of the combined mode are probably from the initial release, before they made the First Aid and Streetwise molds. That might be the only "official" images of the combined mode for sellers to use.

I know there were definitely high-quality KOs (better than the official figures, apparently) around about the time Animated was airing, I believe, but they were going for a lot of money at the time because the quality was supposedly that good.

I wish I could answer your questions, but I only have more of the same questions myself...

Maybe when I can afford to do so, I'll just grab all five from the eBay seller I mentioned and see how they turn out. Or perhaps I should just start by buying one, which would be a smarter choice, I suppose.

Have you seen the special Swoop version? They have 3 different versions not counting the Hasbro original.

But the Swoop I want is the Red Chest, Chrome Wings, and Gold Feet/Missiles.

Anyway, nice disco! Any plans to make a disco, complete with flashing light floor, disco ball and MP Soundwave vs any third party/TR Blaster, all lit up, complete with the music and lights from that famous dance off G1 episode?

 

Some of the items that don't have prices can still be got from SirToys if you add them to a want list. Want list isn't a legal contract either, so it's a good way to have people looking for you for toys.

 

To be honest, I didn't pay much attention to what they had available. I think it had the red chest, but I'm not sure.

 

Anyone had any bad experiences in giving credit card info to Aliexpress? I wish that seller was able to use Paypal :/

Our...let's say...silent partner, has some nutty ambitions for conversion kits to make these guys into some unexpected characters. The concept art looks pretty good. We'll see how that goes, but I might be messing with these molds for a while.

 

I've never had plans to do a light up floor yet, but I've had them do a dance-off several times. Here are a few older pics I had them in last year.

I've used my CC for all of my AE purchases, no issues so far. I assume your CC info doesn't get passed on to the seller, AE takes your money and then pays them.

Are you sure that's for Redosora? The OSKO doesn't feature yellow parts. The Megatron pictured kind like the official/Voyager KO version...
