If I went to someone's house NOT carrying at least one small transformer with me, they would be disappointed.

I did that the other day with a pseudo impromptu transformer meetup. The roasting I got was epic in scale  

 

If I was really a Transformers I'd be a pervert for playing with myself all the time.

It's okay to carry a Transformer with you, but if a cop pulls you over, explain that you have a transformer on your person and do not make any sudden moves.

Well unfortunately I didn't know that you could see production numbers on the box, so I did end up with a 71. This is as well as I could get it tabbed in on my second attempt.



Not too bad but there's still a gap between the hood and the windshield, the parts that connect to the smokestacks don't get far enough, and I can't get the right smokestack extended for the life of me.

Luckily I waited to find it at retail so I can exchange it for a 72. But even if I can't find a 72, I'm happy that this one has painted mirrors and pretty much no other issues.

I took a week to open him because have a really fond memory of opening my original Leader class movie 1 prime while camping, so I waited until I could bring him up to my family cabin to sort of replicate that.

Even after getting a bad copy, my opinions on this figure still stand. I knew tabbing issues were a possibility, and even with them, I believe this is the greatest movie Optimus that has been, and likely ever will be produced, save for repaints and remolds of this figure. It looks beautiful in both modes, and has everything I would want in a movie prime.

 

I find it super intriguing that your picture captures the chrome, yet the silver flames pinstriping on his legs leave just as much as a shiny glare on the image. Very impressive

My mouth is now watering at the thought of an MPM-04 painted up exactly like the Jada die-cast Optimus Prime creeping out at the back of your image

 

I so want a Jada die cast Peterbilt Prime. That would be awesome.

 

Mine's a 71 too. The only real problem is the gap between the windshield and the hood. (There was also this problem about the jutted out windshield glass panel that I only recently discovered, which I brute-forced it to go back in but kinda went overboard.) Everything else is mostly fine.

Yeah it's really not a dealbreaker, but if I know I can get a 72 I'll switch for it. Hopefully the paint will be good if I do.
