I'm so looking forward to seeing First Aide go full on angry Ned Flanders on Getaway after finding out what really happened.
How many vehicles and buildings did the American and British army commandeer from their own citizens in the war effort against Hitler? And how many soldiers did the American and British army send to their certain death to stop Hitler? And Megatron was responsible for the deaths of far far many more beings than Hitler could ever manage to be responsible for. And apologies to anyone offended by comparing the deaths of fictional beings to those of actual real people during an actual war.
i wonder how often roberts is going to homage the same JLA cover. it's up to what? 4 now? i wonder what it'll be at by the time the series is over...
yeah its like Roberts is caught in a cycle of trying to redeem him and then instantly reverting back to issue 1. I want the spotlight hotrod, ation series, maximum dinobots character back! sure he was still an impulsive hothead but he was competent and not a blithering idiot who doesn't learn anything. Roberts is best at writing magnus, cyclonus, whirl, ratchet, drift and megatron everyone else just seems off
probably alot...but giant sized x-men 1 is 42 years old... they've homaged this jla cover four times in five years on the same book... and not with variant covers...main covers. big difference there....
Scavengers....then probably the guys on luna 2 just to make an even 6 covers..or if there's another group shakeup Round it out before he beats this homage into the ground
Well, good to know First Aid and Blades like Getaway a whole lot. That brings this character's fanbase up to- hold on, let me do the math here... two people, it looks like. Who who are we kidding? That number will probably be back down to zero by the end of the issue.
I wonder if the mutineers had to do something nefarious to find Cyberutopia aside from booting Rodimus and Co. What if they unknowingly made deals with some devilish entity? Or maybe the Cyberutopia they have their sights on turns out to be a fake one?
They don't know what he's really like or what happened to Rodimus, so yeah. First Aid will turn on him when they find out.
I want it to be actual genuine progress. But because Getaway's being such an a-hole about doing so, he gets overthrown and thrown out reinstating Rodimus as the ship's captain who while self-centered, arrogant, thoughtless, insensitive and at times incompetent, is a lot more likeable than Getaway.
Yeah. I, ah, really don't get the people who seem to think Getaway's in the right here in any way, shape, or form. I'll concede that he's in the right to be concerned about Megatron... except that we've also seen that Megatron is genuinely a changed person who is/was making amends for what he did. I'll admit, I'm also biased in that I don't care if the crew ever makes any progress in their journey, and am really just interested in seeing Team Rodimus be quirky and quippy at each other.
I love the JLA cover homage and I'm not even into JLA. I just think it's a cool cover. And to be fair the first time was Roche, then it was Milne, then it was Roche again, and now it's Lawrence It's a neat set of covers. And I would happily take one with the Scavengers lol
Yeah Getaway is a total dick. That said I would like to see some progress on the quest. But I also like to see the random adventures unfold and the cast being goofy as they have been. But then there are a few strings of story left from season 2 (and well even season 1) I want to see concluded and then the vision Drift had at the beginning of Lost Light; I have a feeling plays into that. Certainly finding the Knights wouldn't signal the end and there could be an even bigger adventure around the corner.
I hate this meme because some people really do post it unironically. Narratively speaking the best thing that would happen was getting to the end goal was the worst thing that could've happened.
Right, Rodimus may have been a lot of those things, but at least he didn't conspire behind people's back to boot Megatron out. Plus, it was always made clear that he hated Megatron with a passion (at first at least) and the only reason he sucked up Megs' presence was basically because Optimus wanted him to. At least, that's how I see it. Speaking of Optimus, I wonder how he would react if he found out about Getaway's mutiny or Roller's being alive. Ah yes, the "legendary place turned out to be totally not like how it was described to be" trope, am I right?
