I like the eyes, a good Bruticus characteristic. I appreciate Blast Off being upside down, Vortex being tail up, my only gripe is I like Brawl's front being folded over in combined mode. Swindle, I could care less as long as he isn't front end down like UT's. Great figures though, I'd much rather have these Iron Factory figures than the MP sized ones I've been collecting.

Whatever the feet are supposed to be - this is just fine for now:

Looks like we could be plagued with assembly issues here again. Combiner knee joint looks backwards on mine. Mine is on the left. Paik4Life's preview on the right. The orientation on my copy of Brawl matches Paik4Life's. This is especially annoying because I don't know if it matters or not (without the full set released). Bleh.

Mine has the slot facing the same direction as in the instruction video.

From looking at it, I don't think it should matter one way or the other, but it will look ever so slightly less 'clean' from behind.

Swindle and Brawl just showed up at my house. ActionRobo has earned all future pre-orders from me. They shipped this small box from Hong Kong on the 9th and it turned up here in Pennsylvania just 5 days later. TheChosenPrime's packages have taken almost twice as many days to get to me from just Arizona.

I'm real anxious to see what all the kibble combines into. Turns out that the Bruticus toes flip open and there's a molded ramp/ladder/walkway looking thing. I wonder if it's for Titan Master interaction?

    Or vehicle trailer?
    2017101412444918.jpg

Yeah, definitely a trailer. Here the "ramps" are down.

    And with Brawl

But Swindle's roof rack also pegs in perfectly, so maybe it has more than one configuration?

    Claw attachment for Swindle?

And the tanks scale together nicely.

How do they look with the IF Dynobots? My resistance to these guys is fading. Besides, the Dynobots are the only IF figures I have so they need someone to go up against!

Got my Swindle @ Brawl in on Friday and after having had some time to handle them, all I can say is "next, please!" Can't wait for the rest of the set. Now that FT Omega Supreme is out, these guys are probably my next most anticipated release. Also looking forward to IF's Lambo brothers.

So how good are Iron Factory figures? They look neat and i like the idea of getting smaller figures to fiddle with. Are they worth the price?

The price is controversial. Cost for their releases has been creeping up. If you're interested, bargain hunt for sure - major retailers are usually higher than Chinese eBay sellers.

Leaving price aside, I think the figures are great. They have a lot of shelf presence and lovely design work. Materials and engineering are of good quality. It is not unusual for figures to have some tolerance issues, where an element may be tight, but IMO this is becoming less of an issue recently.

If you just want small scale figures that you can pick up and mess with, and cost is an issue, check out the official HasTak line. IF stuff is more on the collectible end in terms of design, materials and cost. But they remain very playable and appealing for regular handling, far more than my MP scale stuff, and if price is not a huge problem they are way better than any official release.

They're great. I have some of theirs and some from other companies, and they're probably second best in my opinion. One other beats them in quality and design. IF's guys are great but a little steep in price. They could be a little cheaper, but you're also paying to have the only legends class Bruticus worth mentioning on the block.

His combiner parts also add to cost. His feet are almost as big as and have almost as many moving parts as a HasTak legend.

I bought them from Paik4Life who was manning ToyDojo's booth at TFCon DC. They did not come with any of my figures.

so its not just me, phew.

but on the whole these 2 are really enjoyable figures, only "difficulty/challenge" i have is trying to rotate brawl's head as per the instruction manual that i totally ignore that whole step, other than that everything tabs very nicely.

i have yet to check the orientation of my combiner tab though, that part is very stiff!

I was chatting with Andy a few weeks back about this and I got the impression that all three sets were releasing fairly close together, so they weren't bothering with Pre-orders - personally think that at this point, IF have a pretty loyal fanbase, so ensuring units are shifted isn't really a massive issue - would have thought that IF would be one of the most solid sellers of all 3ps ( I'm guessing the relatively low prices for 3p ware probably be quite a large factor)

got mine inbound from Kapow probably Wednesday - can't wait!

I'm just impressed that you managed to transform your Blitzwing! Mine has such tight tolerances in the ankles that I have to pop the feet off and use a wrench to turn them into position, and the tabs on the inner legs don't click into place so he's very hard to align in either alt mode. He looks great as a bot though!
