yeah, its a shame quality is so poor, especially on mine the whole torso falls down at the slightest touch. That said, i really love his look, and in my collection, so he is a keeper in the end

Aside from Rally (which is still in its sealed box),I own Sphinx, Girder, and Backdraft. Sphinx is essentially perfect with only some joints that are ridiculously tight. No issues with Backdraft, and I had sent Girder back twice (missing bumpers), and then had BBTS replace the bumper for me on the 34d time. I wasn't happy about the issues with Girder. But once things were fixed, I am very happy to have these three in my MP collection. Their Cosmos looks tone VERY promising, too. MMC's Oc Max line is inconsistent, which isn't really the case for their Reformatted line. I think their only weakest one are the Insecticons. The rest are pretty much winners. I don't have them, but I am certainly tempted to get their new Megatron, Hot Rod, and Tarn.

 

I seem to have a problem with mine "No accessories" (not even the other head) I didn't even have any paperwork either.
Is it possible to get replacements somehow or other ?
I can't send it back as it was bought privately.

I don't mind paying for them - I don't mind if they are off the other versions either - i'd just like some accessories of some sort if it's possible to get parts. perhaps someone has a relationship with the manufacturer or a destroyed toy that they don't want the accessories off it ? (even if it's the Trailbreaker/Hoist colours

Anyone got any ideas how likely that is ?

 

I was dreading getting this guy into robot mode but I finally did it... and I actually really like him.

Luckily I don't have too many tolerance problems - I think I previously mentioned that a few things don't seem to tab in in vehicle mode (the legs don't want to stay tabbed together and the rear wheel tabs un-tab very easily), but fortunately no such problems in robot mode.

Complaints - he needs a bit more of a heel spur because unless I'm doing something wrong he falls over backwards more easily than I'd like. Also he doesn't seem to have thigh swivel and the ratchets in the hips don't have much range of motion. Overall while all the joints work fine he doesn't have a lot of stable poses in the legs. Waist swivel is okay-ish and he does have an ab crunch but I'd prefer it was tighter, it's a bit floppy.

So he's a bit limited overall but it could be worse. I was thinking he'd be one of those "just keep him in alt mode" toys but... you know the bot mode is much better than I thought. The legs look cool, I particularly like the way the torso comes together and overall he just looks good. Well proportioned and more solid than I was expecting. The transformation was impressive, it had a bit of complexity to it but the fun kind not the frustrating kind, and it all comes together in a solid and satisfying way. The chest was a bit confusing at first but once you figure it out it's clever. I particularly like the sliding sections on the lower legs, they work well and close up nicely, and also the way the side rails rotate to hold the rear flaps in place (didn't realise you could do that at first but once I saw it I was amazed how well it worked). Even the default head is starting to grow on me, not sure if I'll swap it after all...

TLDR: really gorgeous alt mode, bot mode is actually better than I thought, transformation is well done. Some tolerance issues but in my case nothing serious. I'm very happy with this guy even though he technically doesn't fit in my G1 collection. The colour is a nice differentiator from the rest of my collection too. Oh also - in vehicle mode, he looks great with my Alternity GTs. I feel like starting a collection of rally cars...

I added some future floor on the internal torso swivel part, and my figure no longer drops everytime i pick him up, HOURA!!

Havent had time to fix the rest, but the above was the most important one for immediate actually being able to grap or move the figure to different areas. Personally i think he looks good next to my FT Insecticons and C9 CB.

 

I feel like he looks good alongside my Alternity GT-Rs.

 

BBTS taking orders for sometime in Q3 this year. Kind of random? But someone might want one for a Diaclone MP shelf.

This figure is back in stores. Have they fixed the issues this time?

 

If this is back in stock it's probably leftovers from the original run. So I doubt any fixes...
