Looks like a replacement for Rescue Bots.

 

The idea seems interesting.

It actually sounds way better than a straight reboot from G1, but i understamd if someones are pretty disappointed with the rumours of this being a G1 reboot with the aesthetic of My Busy Book's designs.

I'm interested.

It bust needs a good execution, Boulder Media has a lot of talent.

I agree. I think if they went for a more G1 redux approach then that style would’ve made sense, but the artwork looked bad

 

Honestly, the designs don't really bother me and almost look pretty decent. I remember when Animated was first revealed I was not happy with the designs but they grew on me as the show and writing progressed so the designs looking allright gives me a little hope about the Cyberverse show. I'll reserve final judgement when the episodes start to come out and we see how strong the writing is though.

This. I'm not really fond of the trend of episodes being only 11 minutes long. It works for shows that are more comedic like Bugs Bunny shorts or even Teen Titans Go. But with TFs, I'd be afraid the writing would be rushed and suffer for it. Especially when the writers would have to dedicate a part of the episode to the story of BB and Wingblade accessing memories and then another part to the "memory" part of the story being played out.

At least noses are back and it looks good visually. Some of the toys might be alright if the mainline engineering doesn't regress anymore than it already has.

 

UNLESS cyberverse it's also the new RID, not in show, but in TOYS-A-LIKE.

 

Optimus without his mouthplate, ok. Optimus with eyebrows? That's going to take some getting used to. He looks like he's wearing hawaiian shorts. I can dig that, it's just far outside of what I ever expected them to officially do with Optimus.

I like that the art has its own style and isn’t just a straight copy of G1 which is what I was dreading. I have confidence in Boulder to do a good show whatever the premise is.

I just hope the toy line does these designs justice, unlike RID. The warrior figures were ok. But it’d be nice to get voyagers, and leaders back for the mainline, or at least give the larger toys more articulation.

 

Don't we already have a cartoon that stars Bumblebee? Why another one?

I was hoping for a cartoon with more focus on robots that haven't been focused on in a while. I'm also not too fond of the idea of an eleven minute cartoon.

On the other hand, if the individual episodes focus on characters other than Windblade and Bee, and I enjoy them, then I'm good.

 

Hmmm. The art style is whatever, I'm looking for substance. I really don't like the idea of Bee having to regain his memories, but if they could do something similar to the storyline where Optimus Prime lived again on Cybertron as Orion Pax after losing memory of his former self, having Bee rediscover/attain some leadership position (I don't want it handed to him on a silver platter) could make the show worth watching to me.

Also, when I saw @Seth Sunthay 's gif post, I thought he was making fun of a fanfiction idea. I can't believe that was actually in the damn official synopsis.

 

Boy, I hope this show actually lets Windblade do something. I'm kinda tired of her just kinda showing up in things and not doing anything important.

I wish they had used Strongarm instead of Windblade, though. There's actually precedent for her being "Bumblebee's best friend." They also could have used like Nautica too, since Nautica is a scientist and fits the role of "someone trying to help Bumblebee regain his memories."

Or they could have used those characters Alex Milne designed for MTMTE way back, like Javelin or Proxima, since they're both scientists and never got to do anything.

I dunno. Maybe the show will be the next Animated and it'll make me love Windblade by the end of it. Here's hoping.
