I'm just saying I get the mentality of wanting figures to be a certain way. My ideal combiner Wars collection would have all combiners in roughly the same scale with completely interchangeable limbs among every single team.

 

So far, he looks he will be alright in my opinion. He's lacking the antennas and I don't think the goggles fit the guy. Might have to wait for Takara or hopefully 3P gives him a new head.

I would love a Zeta Prime for this line as well! I enjoy the idea of more Primes in this line. Plus, I have Sentinel, Megatron, and Optimus. I need a "Nemesis Prime" to be apart.

Never read IDW Comics, but damn Shockwave's story is pretty sad.

There seems to be more details on that PoTP Orion Pax. I like it tbh. Can't wait to have this guy in-hand. I do wish we got a Megatron with him but oh well.

 

Or voyager shockwave that makes a combiner torso? I can totally understand wanting the leader class shockwave as well. I think I'm in the voyager team though if I'm talking about displaying all my chug interacting.

 

A bit late to the table, but figured I throw in my 2 cents on the Terrorcons. Overall, happy to see them reincarnated in the Generations line. The G1 figures were, basically, bricks (except for Hun-Gurr) and it's nice to see them get what amounts to a complete update while remaining true to their G1 roots.

Hun-Gurrr is, just okay to me. The beast heads splitting to have the bottom jaw form a heel spur makes it look like he is wearing ladies shoes. "Not that there's anything wrong with that!" Who am I to judge if Hun-Gurrr likes to indulge in some cross-dressing from time to time? Also, it's inexcusable to me that he doesn't come with actual weapons (same with Grimlock). Considering how Hasbro has been almost slavishly G1 with these figs, why would they make combiners that don't have any weapons? They ALL did in G1.

Blot, of all the figures, has undergone the most significant transformation (pun intended). He actually has a discernible alt-mode in the form of a hunchback, ogre like beast. Looks solid in both modes. The legs are not where they are supposed to be in the display fig. They should be turned so that the leg below the knee faces the back of the figure with only the thigh visible when looking at it from the front. Otherwise it looks like he has 4 legs in bot mode. Love the "Wolverine Claws" and how the beast mode chest studs look like shoulder-mounted mortars in bot mode!

Rippersnapper along with Blot is the other standout for me. Solid in both modes. "Wolverine Claws" and guns that can be hand held or shoulder mounted.

Sinnertwin looks decent, but I don't think his beast heads are articulated (maybe just at the neck?). Bot mode looks good, but overall he's not as good as Rippersnapper and Blot.

Cutthroat is the worst of the bunch. His beast mode is basically a block with wings, feet and a head. Although Rippersnapper's beast mode is similar in that it is a central block with limbs, at least his block is sleeker and has more detailing. His robot mode is better than his beast mode, but he suffers from his upper legs being to long and his lower legs too short. But, as I mentioned, Hasbro is being slavishly G1 with the POTP deluxes/voyagers and that's pretty much what happened here but not in a good way!

I don't think I will be picking up all of the Terrorcons. They weren't really appealing to me as a team back in the day. But happy for all of the Abominus fans who will be getting him now and I am definitely going to add Blot to my collection and perhaps Rippersnapper as well.

 

I initially thought Ill just get 4 Blots since they are a perfect purple to go with Cyclonus and make dedicated Glavatronus limbs for a entirely pruple combiner, but then I started looking at how cool Ripper Snapper is and then considered getting the whole team if I get more than just the Blots....and the final straw was the fact that I am adding a lot of weird colored 'cons to my collection lately ( Misfire, WeirdWolf, oddly Swindle) and think this team will set that look off perfectlyt. So it looks like I'm onboard for Abominous, need another plan for dedicated GALVANTRONUS LIMBS... maybe Dreadwing and Darkwind 2 X each? If Bluts end up over packed or a clearance pegawarmer for some reason... 5 of hime 1 for Abomnous, 4 for Cycolnus?

Abominus is gonna have the antennas, they'll work like the ones on CW Superion and flip up when you transform him into combiner mode.

And personally I love how PotP Abominus's face is based on his appearance in Call of the Primitives, in fact, I actually just dig Abominus's aestethic in general in regards to how he looks. The particular details of his face, with the more handsome visage and stylish visor gives him a nice contrasting look to what he actually is; here's a giant robot dude who looks relatively cool and handsome despite being made up of nightmarish monsters, and I just dig that.

 

Whaaaa? This is the first I'm hearing of this! Where'd you find that nugget out?

I think I'll be getting the whole Terrorcon team. I'll probably get the Dinobots as well and just never combine them. In fact, the Leader class figures are the only POTP toys that I'm probably going to pass on picking up. Unless I see them on a shelf and they really wow me.
