The bubble has to burst at some point . By rights I would expect to see something but them announcing them the other day, with Maximus being sort of a crowd fund, it's making me a little less optimistic we see something new. It's seem their major focus lately has been movie stuff and the LG line. Even if 42 is a SS repaint in April, it's not chicken little but it is a bit worrisome, especially when you consider there will be 2 MPMs and Dinobot thrown in there somewhere.

 

Sorry for my absence its been pretty rough coming to this site for me lately.
I mean I spent quite abit of time into translating things cross-referencing it with other resources and paraphrasing things.. Some of the stuff I condensed down to get to the point without missing the details and point.
I got a Japanese friend in Tokyo to quickly overlook it, she is pretty busy and doesn't care about TF's so who knows. There is a chance something has been lost in translation but if I'm honest I still stick to it telling us TB and Hoist are going to be the next carbots up.

It's also highly logical as they are mold mates to a degree w/ repaints & easy (likely CHEAP) licenses. The remaining car bots barring Hound are proving harder to secure hence why the I feel the interview alluded to us being patient for a while with Hoistbreaker. Now if they magically secure them in between now and developing HoistBreaker then I'm sure things will change.

It's been really rough for me to come back to this forum, I don't like transformers that aren't G1 They may as well be GoBots or Rocklords to me.
I can feel my enthusiasm and excitement for Transformers disappearing again like when I was a kid.

The IDW comics have even been poor (apart from Lost Light) Victorion - Pyra Magna & love affair between Blast Off & Onslaught...? Just horrible garbage.
TT win a Long Life Design Award for their G1 Masterpieces then decide to make less of them? OK..right.
1-2 G1 MP a year just doesn't sit right for me, its been 30 years.... Up the production and stop making the other timelines slow the G1 down. Demand is there so increase the productivity simultaneously with the other timelines, it makes things incredibly boring as a great number of us don't care for every single line. This way we all win.

I would even be happy if we just got some new updates on the indication of plans...I think the Dinobot thing was cool for the BW guys because it at least gave them a roadmap. Like don't burn your brain out over it, it will come, we are working on it.
Can we get this for Galvatron, Cyclonus or an update on HoistBreaker..

 

Quick question, would you happen to know the results of that poll Takara did back in the summer. I don't want to start saying the sky is falling, but perhaps folks voted for a slow down.

No I have no idea. I don't believe I got to see the original article that the results that were posted on. I do usually go on this site at 3 am or so, sometimes my memory is hazy.
I would love to know the full consensus also. It affected the LG reissues from what I know right? Maybe its had some impact on the MP line too.

 

LOL, wait for the Last Knight movie to move out of the picture and things will pick back up. Takara is still pushing the movie toys with events etc....

Hopefully after Halloween the movie stuff starts to wrap up.

 

Yeah, I have wondered that myself, which would be the worse case scenario for a lot of us.

No worries really. Just something that stuck me as odd. They reissued several Legends figures as a result, but Masterpieces we got crickets.

I understand it's a movie year and all, so I can understand the slow down. However I still feel we are in for a big surprise real soon.

 

prime wasn't a gorilla, he was still a truck, because they're different characters in the show, Dinobot wasn't around in G1 to die as an Autobot but he was a maximal, however everyone that i know that liked the show LOVES Dinobot for his characterization, and Cheetor is a WAY better character than movie bb and didn't have nearly as many toys. Just sayin  .

For the MPM figures, I'm sue there's a reason for barricade over Megatron. Maybe because megs would be another rather large figure, and they want to make sure these sell before banging out another big figure like him.

 

Idk at least with the mpms sense so many fans hate the movies but it doesn't make sense for to skip on Megatron and release someone just because he had a great character.If so then skip on movie Megatron for mudflap and skids and ironhide. They had the most character in the movies.


Speaking of larger figures. I can't wait to see what they do with them. I doubt this would ever happen but I would love a masterpiece version of Wreckage and Dreadwing or any non-onscreen characters.

 

I doubt they’re skipping Megatron, but he’s a massive character in the movies, so they’d probably want fans bought in more before they go that route, and possibly create an MPM that costs more. It makes sense to fill out the smaller sized ranks a little to get a measure of fan commitment.

 

I'm sure Takara is hoping to rope in the Topkick and Raptor fans with Ironhide and Starscream. I know of far fewer "Lie-on-your-back-with-your-legs-in-the-air" fans.

The movie megatron was a massive dude in the first movie, it was actually the biggest one of the film, when he picked up jazz, it looked like a toy for him, i can understand why are they doing first smaller figures, to scale pretty well, he should be a bit smaller or the same size as magnus.

Hope we get some new reveal about the main mp line, either dinobot or a new character (probably hound or blaster).

There it's something strange, this year it's really lacking of new molds in comparison with the previous year, but hey, this year it's also satured with re-issues of last figures.

I suspect Primal will get a re-issue when Dinobot comes out, but that's just a possibility.

 

Don't look now, Seth, but the MPMs just became the main MP line.
