Titans Return Trypticon sighted in Saint Petersburg, store "Detskiy Mir" (Children's World) in the shopping center "Gallery". Price: 13 999 rubles (about 240 US dollars).
I don't know what's worse. Stupid unfunny outdated "Soviet Russia" jokes, mildly amusing yet entirely inappropriate "Russia hacking" jokes, or blatant ignorance of foreign landmarks. (Of course, the cartoon got it wrong in the first place.) Don't get me wrong, the "Trypticon attacking the Kremlin" reference by itself is fine and appropriate, it's just as Sovietbot said, the cartoon got two Russian landmarks mixed up and many people can't tell the difference.
Ozon's price dynamic for Trypticon is interesting. It started at 20k, then dropped to 17k and now it's 13k. So Ozon is still better than Detsky Mir, especially since you can get a 50% discount for Ozon and only 40% for DM.
Its the news media who confuses Americans. They always show St. Basil's Cathedral whenever they talk about Russian politics and mention the Kremlin. I guess you gotta be from America to appreciate the hacking jokes. Theyre used on both sides of the aisle.
Nice! Hmm that price is close to what Devastator cost at retail in Hungary, though of course we and Slovakia got them for much cheaper in certain shops and webshops. Maybe you will get better prices in webshops too.
Personally I don't mind the "hacking" jokes, it's just that this board has a huge "NO POLITICS" rule, and for a good reason.
"No politics" is a very vauge rule in the current climate where celebrities are weighing in and dragging their fans into the mix. Right now we have a president who wants to punish the NFL (American football) of all things. Hypathetically, if Michael Bay denounces Trump tomorrow and Trump calls for a boycott of Transformers movies, would that discussion be off the table?
