So, with IDW transformers still going on strong, some people have to wonder: what other non-g1 characters will be included into the comic canon?

My personal favorite? While I’m not a big fan of the movies, a special highlight goes to nitro Zeus, an incredibly rad, strange deception that, while he had very little screen time, was actually super cool

I'd like to see Cybertron Mudflap and Evac.

 

Given how the fiction has gone back loads to the megatron origin era with chaos theory two parter, shadowplay, elegant chaos etc maybe they could show us more of the Cy kill who appeared in Megatron origin or maybe even have it so that he appeared dead but was actually repaired later and have him show up in some modern set stuff.

Also now the gender thing is a bit more sorted that means the crasher appearance in megatron origins is cannon so she can make an appearance.

I kind of WOULD like to see Prime Predaking..or Paddles, Strongarm, BW Megatron, Magmatron, MAYBE Nightracer and Esmeral?

 

I work at a place that deals with IDW on occasion, and Ted Adams forwarded my Spotlight: Cy-Kill pitch over to them. Never heard back, haha.

Basic summary of the pitch would be that Cy-Kill was essentially the "B" version of Megatron - an underground pit fighter who is winning the hearts and minds of the underclass. He would be riding around with Circuit doing an interview about his goal of fixing society's problems, and would end with him cutting the interview short because he has another fight to deal with...which would of course be the fateful fight with Megatron, hence why we never heard about Cy-Kill since then and he was erased from history. Kinda like Tesla and Edison, in a way.

 

Interesting idea.

If I was to handle a Cy-Kill story if I remember correctly there was a line by either sentinel prime or prowl in megatron origin where they talked about how the footage of the pit fights was either murder or manslaughter depending on how it is edited (or something like that, it has been years since I read it) but this got me thinking that the footage of the fights was being used as a Decepticon propaganda tools so was likely edited, staged and exaggerated to fit the purpose and have the desired affect on the audience.

Maybe it could have been a little like watching wrestling where you have characters you are supposed to be rooting for and those you are meant to be booing and maybe Cy-kill played the role of a con pretending to still have slight functionist leanings so got violently offed on screen but not necessarily for real.

Maybe as the war started Cy-kill could not participate in the same way as his fellow cons as he is supposed to be dead but his talent for drama meant megatron hired him to be the head of Decepticon propaganda which I imagine would work closely with decepticon high command and that conclave that tarn used to bang on about. So if he was decepticon high command or became it in time he would be a little like there equivalent of prowl.

I know this idea wouldn't lend itself too well to an action story but it's the best I could think of off the top of my head looking at his previous appearance.

 

I'm down for pretty much any Transformers characters to pop in from non g1 sources.
But if I had to name a few off.....
Cogman, Dispenaor, Bisk, Thunderhoof, The Autotroopers and Legions, Signal Lancer, Thunderblast, and while we're at it, let's toss Coby and Kicker into MASK, and Silas into VENOM.
Also, I kinda wanna see Lugnut get some more Screentime. Maybe an actual speaking role

There, I commented on a comic thread without bitching about the Hasbroverse.

 

Beast Wars is my favourite TF show so I want everyone from that to appear, but the #1 spot goes to BW Silverbolt and Blackarachnia.

 

I'd like to see Beast Machines Jetstorm show up, Tankor, Obsidian and Strika are already there, I'd like to see that. I'd also like to see Sideways (Noizemaze or the Sideways from Armada) make an appearance.


More Tarantulas, even though he's already done quite A LOT (he is Springer's dad, basically)

Here's an idea, kill off Optimus and Megatron and replace them with Beast Wars Optimus and Megatron. No idea why you would do that though...
