I only use USPS and don’t have mail delivered to my physical address so I’ll be waiting till Tuesday which is no big deal

ugh..if i didn't think the chest piece was ugly enough it looks like the blues don't even match up...i sure as hell don't want this figure now. seems like nothing but paint mistakes. i expected better from PE

 

The chest piece has 2 blues and 2 reds. The lighter blue (outer blue parts of the chest piece) and lighter red match the CW Ultra Magnus perfectly, while the darker blue (center line of the chest piece) and darker red match Takara Ultra Magnus.
The biggest issue is they are only including one chest piece and trying to color match it to two very differently colored toys. They really should have either included two chest pieces, or made two versions of the set, one for CW, one for Takara.

 

I don't have mine in hand yet (still in shipping), but this image from peh1978 seems to show the chestpiece as cast in blue. I can't tell if it is cast in Hasbro's CW blue or Takara's LG blue, though.

 

The maroon is growing on me. No idea why they did it, but it's growing on me.

 

That makes it a bit more clear. The chest piece looks like two pieces, one in blue, and one in maroon, with a slide mechanism to allow it to collapse for truck mode storage. Is this correct?

That looks like the gun from the X2 upgrade kit. That's another nice option.

Excited for this guy. I really liked the look of PC-16 but I don't have PMOP or Ginrai and don't have much interest in them, but I do have the Plat Ed UM.

If I like this guy enough I might wind up buying PC-16 too... even though that would be silly...

That white rifle is just the standard HasTak one  




The gun from the X2 kit is considerably larger.

 

Even though he's intended as an add-on, PC-16 is actually a great standalone figure.
