Yeah. I just got confused for a moment because Rippersnapper already is a Terrorcon.

I owned and loved both the Terrorcons and Seacons as a kid, but I could never keep the individual robot names straight.

I don't blame you, especially when the Seacons all have the same colors and the Terrorcons have two blue guys and two yellow guys.

I think the reverse leg thing is an easy fix I'm sure Takara will fix it. You see all Takara would have to do is reverse the orientation or the claw.

Might be the only thing they can safely change, I think there is a reason the front legs are small.

...rather than a half-baked inappropriate retool, takara switching to an entirely new mold for their own release is not without precedent...

    Good call.

So after collecting Transformers for about 21 years, having some LDs, prototypes, limited edition/exclusives, Unused G1 vintages including duplicates & recklessly throwing away USD $700 upwards every month into this hobby, I just realised that I've limited budget & my collection is really good only for my boy.

No wonder the saying that you learn something new everyday.

I wonder what it would look like if you used hun-grrr's bicep swivel to turn the back alt mode legs around. The feet would be facing the wrong way but it might match the g1 toy more and look better overall.

Pretty sure them switching out a voyager/torso with their own mold is without precedent. The closest example would be takara computron, which is still the same base mold

I like the way you put this but, I don't think Takara making a new Voyager mold is a precedent.

Here's another little detail most people might not have noticed about Hun-Gurrr's beast-legs/robot-arms, they have these small spikes on the back of them that simulate the ones on top of his beast-necks. So when you transform him into Abominus, his legs will actually resemble his old G1 versions to a surprising extent, barring the exclusion of beast-head knees.

It looks like HasTak has gone the extra length to make a combiner that resembles his old G1 version to a greater extent than previous CW combiners, despite his altered transformation -scheme for combiner mode.

Can't really see any additional info, but do these particular Terrorcons not combine to make Abominus? Can anyone show the combined form? Thanks in advance.

They combine, but there haven't been any photos of Abominus yet.

They do combine, Hasbro just hasn't shown us Abominus yet. But people who attended NYCC were able to play around with Hun-Gurrr, they tried to make the torso and revealed Abominus' head.

Funny, I thought they were all really distinct personalities. And the Seacons actually got some "prime time" in both the US and UK Marvel comics as individuals.

It was an error when someone assembled the painted prototype. OF COURSE we will have the G1 Cutthroat-like head for Cutthroat. Wildfly will be a later repaint.
Remember when TR Rumble had a Rewind head on the CGI? People were doomsaying back then too, not realizing it was an error. And this error even reveals a new toy!

Speaking of TR Rumble and Rewind... what happened to Frenzy and Eject? Will we see them in POTP, or maybe they'll just appear on HTS one day like Grotusque?

My wild-eyed thought on this is we'll see Twincast and Soundblaster in Titans Return 2: Secret of the Ooze and we'll get a few more deployers then.

    To expand on that:
TR and CW had all new molds throughout because there was no inventory of feasible repaints/retools that fit with the line - now that there is an inventory of combiner molds, we're seeing a few reappear in PotP (Dreadwind, Darkwing, Inferno so far, and I wouldn't be surprised if we see Hoist and Bluestreak from Trailbreaker and Prowl in a post-leak wave) which is more the standard Hasbro MO. I expect we'll see another round of titans after PotP and the two tape players would fit the trifecta of JG1 homage, easy repaint (save the tooling budget), and an excuse to release more fan-favorite (or at least fan-sought-after) figures (who are also easy repaints) such as Eject and Frenzy.

Hopefully. We will know when package or more production photos show up. As remember that TR Galvatron ended up with the face piece that didn't end up on the production version.

Like you I'm guessing that the mock-up had the wrong head, not the CG render.
