Minor/Repaint: Titans return Kup

    IMAG0058.jpg IMAG0059.jpg IMAG0060.jpg So I saw the new Kup figure and my first thought was that the color scheme was based upon a background character shot from the Marvel comics Headmasters mini-series. Seriously WTF? Suffice to say he wasn't on my must have list, but when I saw his wave got put on shelves at my local Meijer (still kicking myself for passing on Preceptor at the time, I've got a brand new Mainframe face painted and ready to install) I saw the mold itself held potential. Then I saw the takara version and almost chucked him on the highway (I kid, no way will I do that). My Kup was saved by the fact that a couple dedicated designers produced some much needed upgrades, at current I'm waiting on the arms and new face to arrive, but while I waited I gave the rest of Kup a full paintjob( I was going to have to anyway just to make everything match), giving him that light grey and teal body that I vividly recall from my horribly degraded VHS copy of the 86 movie. I tried to combine a little of his G1 cartoon, G1 toy, and idw comic appearance as reference, plus whatever I could take from his new Takara toy. I'll add links to the new face and arms so everyone can enjoy.

    Update: new parts painted and attached, love the difference these make, he's a whole new grumpy old bot!

    Also painted up Recoil today too, so next update will include his targetmaster.

    Glad that my camera isn't very good, the reason I painted the entire windshield is because I screwed up while trying to remove the paint at the top, lol

    New arms and face arrived, done a lot of painting over the last couple days, if I get enough time tomorrow I'll finish Kup and Nightbeat and be ready with new pics, bed is calling my name now

    Always nice to see people happy with the stuff I designed. Works really well in concert with the head & cigar upgrade too.
