I just got offered a chance to buy an original mp-1 lucky draw. Didn't ask how much. But the golden megs was 3 grand. Not terrible. I mean.... it's more than I'd ever spend. But it's a once in a lifetime chance I think. I'll pass lol

 

The front page post says there are at least 2 of these in the world. I know for a fact that these are exactly the same as the real thing, but these are prototypes. at least the pictures that I posted are. There are at least 5 of these in the world in different collectors' hands right now.

What Takara should do with the box, though I don't recall if previous gold figures had a different one from the general besides a sticker but to make a section of just megs transparent like the G1 boxes. Then have art around it be the scene from the golden lagoon. The back and sides can remain the MP-36 original box, if cost is a factor.

Lets be honest, no one in their right mind is going to open this and transform it or even go so far to pose it so go all out from the keep it sealed aspect.

Now they need to do a proper Golden Chrome MP Soundwave. The Linkin Park edition and Platinum Year of the Goat versions don't quite cut it for me.

 

How does it work? Is this version randomly packed in regular MP36 boxes? Its cool but nothing l would need for my collection. 

 

Probably. I've never handled one, let alone seen one, or even transformed one for that matter. So I can't say.

I imagine Hasbro might make a mint if they offered a purchase contest for this. But then again, Hasbro can't sell guns to kids. Unless it's Nerf?   Are MPs still for kids, Hasbro?    

I feel like this item needs its own ELITE COLLECTORS website (for all postings) - most of us will never afford, let alone SEE, this thing.  

 

If Takara can do this, then surely a G1 toy-accurate SILVER CHROME version IS most certainly possible. Just the arms & chest need it anyway, the rest can be silver, black, & red, plastic like the old toy. Maybe they could include tampo chest plate swirls, & a faceplate with shiny gold G1 eyes as well.

I would be very eager to buy a Megatron like that!  

 

Basically a \"DO NOT TRANSFORM\" figure because you\'ll wreck that gold chrome if you even dare try putting him in gun mode.

There's about 5 of these in the world apparently. It will be way cheaper if you get a second MP-36 and have someone professionally paint it than going after one of these.
