Very cool drone designs, and I kind of love that quintesson transformers have unmoving unexpressive faceplates. If they see you as tools, they probably don't care to be able to see if you are upset with their orders or not. I'm a big fan when design helps build character.
Yup! Cross-visor guy is a commander type. Thanks! Thank you! Thanks! Yup, I really like when designs can tell you a bit about the characters, too. Next up - Wreck Gar: No bio right now. I'm tired.
That's an excellent take on Wreck-Gar! I always did like the Junkions, their asymmetrical builds were always neat and I really dug the fact that they basically lived on a massive floating garbage dump in space.
Thanks, guys! My workload is making me upload designs a lot less frequently than I'd like, but I'm going to try to make an hour a day for me to work on art. Hopefully that'll allow me to post a bit more often. Anyways, next up: Cyclonus. "Cyclonus is the cold righthand 'bot of the pirate king Galvatron. Legend says they sail the quantum wave functions of the multiverse, dipping into realities and across time to plunder the greatest treasures before slipping back into the ether between the realities. Anyways, those are probably just legends. Either way, they always do seem to strike from nowhere before disappearing for eons again. "'Fraid I'm not going to be able to tell you much about Cyclonus's personality. Like I said, he and the rest of that pirate crew don't exactly stick around long enough to get chummy with him. "Hmm? Yeah, yeah, I saw him once. I was in the brig of the Magnus' ship at the time. Look, don't judge, they were carrying a prototype of the Apex Armor and I had a mech that was going to pay top dollar for it. Sadly, the Magnus caught me before I could nick it. Anyways! Guess Galvatron's crew wanted that armor too. First thing I heard were the screams of the crew outside my cell. What could I do? I was locked up, couldn't help 'em. What? Yeah, I woulda helped! Who do you think I am? Anyways, the sounds of the battle kept on getting closer and closer and I admit, I was getting a bit nervous, what with the fact that I was tied up and without my weapons. That's when I saw him: Cyclonus, walking down the hall, laser fire bouncing off him. He strolled calm as anything, cutting down any mech in front of him. He looked right at me with those burning eyes when he passed by me. I was sure I was in for it. I mean, any 'con would come and cut you up just for fun if they had the chance, right? Luckily, I guess ol' Cyclonus didn't have that much taste for spilled Energon. That, or slicing through half the crew sated him. Either way, he just passed by me like I was nothin'. Thanked my lucky stars that day, I did." -Crosshairs
HOT DAMN that's an amazing Cyclonus! Excellent work, also I love the concept of Pirate King Galvatron like hot dang!
That cyclonus design is absolutely fantastic! I like how his teeth appear to be the only things besides his eyes that are illuminated on his shrouded face and I concur with Agatha, the idea of a Pirate King Galvatron is rad as hell!
That cyclonus looks friggin awesome loving the proportions, overall silhouette, and the face. Great stuff all around!
Thanks for the kind feedback, guys! Today - Demolisher: And to show his size: "Demolisher was one of Megatron's greatest generals and confidant. Megatron loved to surround himself with his own idolators, and Demolisher was one of his most devout disciples. His unwavering belief in the Decepticon cause and his cunning tactical skills lead him to be a very successful general, racking up victory after victory. The Storming of Iacon, the Leveling of Praxus, the Vorsk Offensive... All of it, his work. His final contribution came at the Siege of Dabola. It was a vicious battle that left the world in ruins, but ultimately saw the Decepticons victorious. However, Demolisher never lead another offensive. In fact, no one has seen him since. It is possible that he was destroyed during the battle, but no one has claimed the honor of being the one to bring him down. This historian has found no conclusive explanation as to his fate." -Lancer
I absolutely adore that Demolishor! It's like the perfect blend between his Armada incarnation and Animated Blackout. It's something I never knew I wanted until now.
Another very good design. Along with a body shape inspired by tfa blackout, his face resembles bw rampage to me, though that is probably just a coincidence.
Thank you! Yep, I've come to associate Megatron's most loyal followers with having large bulky body types, like Tidal Wave, Animated Lugnut and Blackout, and Strika. I wanted Demolisher here to mirror that. His size also serves as a reference to ROTF Demolisher. Though come to think of it, I'm not sure if Animated Blackout has been characterized as being especially loyal? That might have just be me applying his Movie version's character to the Animated incarnation. Thanks! Yeah, I'm having fun with the really loud colors. Haha, thanks! Thank you! I totally see the resemblance to Rampage. I think it's the red helmet and green eyes. But yeah, that was accidental. I had ROTF Demolisher's head in mind. Next up - Escargon: "Escargon is one of the personal guards of the Magnus. He's a bad tempered 'bot; doesn't talk much, he's got a hair trigger temper, and is always itching for someone to step out of line so he has an excuse to use that staff of his. He calls it his, uh... 'Love-Love Lance'. That's kind of creepy sounding, now that I think about it. "Anyways, yeah, this 'Love-Love Lance' of his ha an, uh, disorienting effect on whoever he uses it on. Apparently, it makes them become temporarily infatuated with any random individual in their vicinity. Yeah, that's...that's actually wildly inappropriate, actually. This guy's pretty messed up, huh? How'd he end up working for the Magnus? How's anyone okay with this?" -Horsepower So yeah, Escargon's head design was something I did almost a year back, for my old art thread. Finally made a body for him. He'll just be a minor character, but I had fun with his design.
I really like the fact that his entire lower torso is a big tread. It's a nice touch. Escargon seems like a lovely individual.
